So . . . are we just ignoring this one?
Kawajiri wins, that's all I know.
I'm wondering about Kang/Manhoef.
Also, I'm wondering if maybe there's some value here in McKee.
Kang/Manhoef is a fight of two inconsistent flakey guys. Hate to sound disrespectful but that's what I see it as. No opinion on McKee/Aoki from me
I'm just thinking Manhoef may be the less flakey guy. I don't like his line, though.
As for McKee/Aoki, we've already seen Aoki get beat down twice by good Western fighters and I think McKee is actually pretty good. As long as he can keep from getting subbed, he might be able to wrestle his way to a decision. At his current odds, I think it might be worth a play.
The thing is, in Japan scoring is tricky. It's not like American organizations where wrestlers have a significant edge on the scorecards.
I'm more looking at the +240. Maybe throw enough to win a unit on him or something.
Yeah. Apparently this shit is going down tonight.
Yeah. Also, apparently they are going to broadcast it tape delayed on CBS Sports tomorrow.
Aoki is too dangerous. Add in japanese scoring and it is a no bet.
Kickboxing lines up on 5d under mma section.
I am probably going to be an idiot and bet Manhoef.
So did anyone watch either the Dream or Glory broadcasts on CBS Sports?
I DVRd the Glory show and watching it right now. I really should try to watch more kickboxing.
I still have a hard time with the quiet ass Japanese crowd, though. It's like all the energy in the arena that I'm used to is just non-existent.
I watched the strange Aoki/McKee fight and the Manhoef obliteration.
What happened during the McKee fight? I saw the result was submission due to "punch."
Gimme a PBP.
That's lame. And not sure from the description who won round 1.
I would like to see a rematch with a conventional ending because I want to know if I was right to see value in McKee.
