BOL!
Just finally got around to watching the Tate/Kedzie fight. That was a damn good fight. I had a decent bit of money on Tate, but I actually feel a little bad for Kedzie. That was the performance of a lifetime for her and she was on her way to winning.
You know who I just realized hasn't fought all year? Travis Fulton. He hasn't been doing his usual can-crushing thing. Maybe he decided to hang up the gloves after losing to Arlovski.
Hmm, could be. In 2011 apparently he only fought three times, compared to an astonishing 13 times in 2010, so perhaps he was already wanting to slow down.
Also, according to Wikipedia, he holds the "ISKA Mid West Muay Thai Heavyweight Championship title." That's sort of amazing.
My assumption is that you can go to just about any state and find at least a few pretty good guys. Keep in mind that the mid-West means Minneapolis . . . it means Chicago . . . there are some prominent cities in that region.
Then again, maybe I'm just underestimating Travis Fulton. I mean, he has kicked 247 dude's asses after all.
I dunno. Even Mississippi has Alan Belcher's place. Here in Utah we have Jeremy Horn's place and John Hackleman's new gym just a few minutes north of Salt Lake.
Granted, that's MMA and not MT, but I don't really think you have to travel for thousands of miles to find "proper training."
The point about people entering the competitions is an interesting one. I wonder about that, too. Although there SHOULD be people entering, considering the ISKA is one of--if not the premiere--kickboxing org in the US.

I've heard about that dude. He's pretty impressive but "one-armed" is not really an accurate description . . . more like one-handed.
