Yeah, the thing about Mir, though, I wouldn't be surprised if he just dominating the striking and Cormier has to take him down. Probably not going to happen, but Mir is unpredictable as hell.

i would be suprised if he dominated. Now that you mentioned it I actually think he could out point him. He would be throwing kicks + knees. Of course so would cormier. Even if Mir caught a kick he probably couldnt get cormier down that easily. Kickboxing match? Who wins that?
I just talked to Franks Dad, he said that His Son is going to do his Koopa Troopa impression at the first sign of pain.

When has Frank Mir ever shown really good and crisp striking? He was able to throw the same combo against UFC 92 version of Nog and land, and one overhand right against Kongo.
Yeah, the fist Nog fight was what I was thinking about. Of course, Nog lit him up in the second fight. He did win a kickboxing match with Cro Cop. I know that is not a major accomplishment at that point in time, but it is still something to consider. On the other hand, Cormier has only had one dazzling striking performance himself (Bigfoot). That said, I do think Cormier will win easily, just would not be shocked to see Mir do something crazy.
I think Rockhold's going to win pretty easily.
Me too, I am going to lay the price. Probably a Rockhold/Cormier parlay big
Frank Mir is out of the fight
For some reason, I'm not surprised.
Motherfucker! I said that shit was gonna happen right after bones/hendo got cancelled.
Apparently Werdum might be on deck to fight Cormier.

Harder fight for Cormier imo...he would still win though
ohh. I don't know about that one. That is a close fight. Cormier is short, and Werdum loves the knees. On the ground... I don't know. I would expect Cormier to try to keep it standing, but Werdum looked like a beast in his last outing.
Werdums standup has been looking great and he probably has a reach advantage.
yeah, that is a hard fight to call. Werdum is probably the only HW I would be worried about with Cormier other than JDS or Cain. Cormier can probably take anyone down, but Werdum might be at an advantage off his back, at least until he gasses in round 2. Werdum obviously can't Cormier down though, so he is going to have to beat him standing too... which he might be able to.
Oh, come on Cormier.
