6-Unit Play. #165. Take Louisville -10 over Kentucky (Saturday @ 12pm est)
Both these teams wish they were in a bretter position than 7-4 but it is Louisville that expected more out of this season. Nevertheless, you have a Louisville team that lost to Kentucky 38-41 last year and as they come off dropping 56 against Syracuse and 38 against Virginia, this team will be more than motivated to rout Kentucky. Kentucky might still be exhausted from the Georgia game and it won't get any easier against the 3rd best offense in the nation, who has revenge, who wants to rout their rival and Kentucky has the 116th best pass defense to boot. This could be a long day and it could be one of those games where Petrino does not call off the dogs as if he can't get to the ACC Title Game, at least he can beat his rival by a wide margin and feel better.
7-Unit Play. #169. Take Penn State -21.5 over Maryland (Saturday @ 3:30pm est)
Penn State could have not have played worse in the 2nd half against Nebraska as this team yielded a ton of offense to a Nebraska team they were originally blowing out in the first half and that cannot sit well with a defensive minded coach in Franklin. You have a Penn State team that just won 56-44 as a -27 point home favorite to Nebraska in a game where they were up 42-10 at the Half and saw his team give up 34 points in the 2nd half. Maryland played Michigan State very tough and fell short 7-17 but note the weather was bad in that game so Michigan State was not able to do what it really wanted across the board. Combine that with Penn State coming into this game with a poor defensive outing giving up the most number of points it has all year, it should make for a possible blowout in the making from start to finish. Remember, Maryland lost by 25 to Michigan at home so is not too shocking to think a motivated Penn State can win by more with a better offense and defense. Maryland also gave up 62 points to Ohio State and Penn State has every bit of capable offense and this game could get of hand very fast and Penn State likely will not let up as Frankly will want to impress his old bosses and school administration.
3-Unit Play. #225. Take Alabama -4 over Auburn (Saturday @ 3:30pm est)
It is one thing to beat Georgia at home by multiple touchdowns who is not used to the road or the pressures that come with being the #1 team on the road as they were simply too inexperienced to play at Auburn and all that entails. Alabama knows all too well what it is like at Auburn, has a calm quarterback at the helm in Jalen Hurts and if Auburn had its issues against the LSU defense on the road losing 23-27, and losing to Clemson 6-14 earlier this year, Alabama is better than both teams and the difference here is that Nick Saban will repeat and drill into his team that they better not get punked like Georgia did when the Bulldogs rolled in. And, for Alabama, the best thing that could have happened to them is Georgia getting destroyed at Auburn because that will be the warning shot for this team to get their act together for this game and they will be more than ready.
