This number keeps screaming upward for a reason. Purdue is clearly the better team in this one and were it not being played on Marquette's home court I would expect this one to be at least a 15-point blowout. The Golden Eagles lost a ton of talent and experience from last year. They still have some nice pieces. I like Markus Howard a lot, Andrew Rowsey can knock down some shots, and Haanif Cheatham is multidimensional. But Marquette doesn't have enough size and their depth is minimal. Purdue is not going to be the same team as they were with Caleb Swanigan. But other than that one loss they are absolutely the same group that won 27 games last season. Only now they are a year older and more experienced. Purdue is better defensively than the Eagles and they have more shooters. Also, their twin post towers of underrated Isaac Haas and freshman Matt Haarms should give Marquette all kinds of problems.
