REad a rumor about it. That would be fuckin murder for Kimbo. Wurdum is a top 15 HW. Kimbo would be stupid to take that fight.
Kimbo Slice could make his return to the cage against current Chutebox fighter and former UFC heavyweight Fabricio Werdum. World of MMA caught up with Werdum who confirmed his next fight would be under the Strikeforce banner.
Slice lost his last fight last year against what everyone thought was a fluke in Seth Petruzelli as the "street fighter" fell to the mat in under thirty seconds of the first round. Seth dropped the big guy with a hard jab.
His next opponent may be a little more serious of a contender, bigger than Petruzelli, more dangerous than Ken Shamrock and has the experience both in the ring and the cage.
Fabricio Werdum recently informed World of MMA that he will be fighting under the Strikeforce banner maybe in May of this year and although he said that his opponent is still in "negotiations" Werdum did hint at a possible tilt between him and Kimbo Slice.
"Maybe fighting in May for Strikeforce, possibly Kimbo."
A matchup of Werdum vs Ferguson would be a valid opportunity for Kevin "Kimbo Slice" Ferguson to show everyone and his own promotion that he really is worth his name.
Its undeniable that this fight won't stand a chance as a main event draw but the style match-up, grappler vs striker, definitely adds a little extra something for the fans in any event it takes place in.
