Off to Kansas Jan. 19-20th

That's right. Lawrence, Kan. to watch my #1 Kansas Jayhawks play my hometown Baylor Bears. Whitney and I will be leaving on a chartered jet with the team leaving from Waco straight to Kansas. We'll be staying with the team at the hotel and we'll be eating with the team. We get bussed with the team to and from the game then bussed back to the airport after the game then we fly back to Waco. We will be sitting right behind the Baylor bench at Allen Fieldhouse. This should be a FUN trip expecially since the Jayhawks are my favorite team. Game will be on ESPN2 so keep an eye out for us. I can't wait!

My dad is a BIG time Baylor financial supporter and is a part of the Baylor Bear foundation and tip off club among other things. He also let's very high ranking Baylor bigwigs drive demo's off our lot. In return he gets three away trips of his choice for the Basketball and football programs. He of course knows how big I am on Kansas and told me and Whitney to go ahead and take the trip since it was in Kansas this year.

Just so you guys know I'll be making it a point to talk with coach Scott Drew and many of the players on the way to the game and throughout the day leading to the game. I plan to feel them out and see what there game plan will be and see if there really even going to be up for this game. Kansas just almost got shocked by ivy league Cornell tonight because I'm sure they looked passed them. At least I'll know for certain how one side is planning to approach the game. I will be actually calling my local with a wager on this game if i get some key information that would warrant a major play. I'm thinking a total play may be in order here and not the side once I know how this game will be played. I plan to find out who will play the most minutes and if they plan on an offensive or defensive game along with keeping the ball inside or taking behind the arch shots. I'm going to know this game (from Baylor's perspective) dead on. I'll post from the Hotel and before game time and from the phone when I place my wager. GL to anyone that might tail!

Here is the criteria for today's departure and I will be in touch with you guys when I decide on the play for the game.



Dear Kansas Travel Guests:

Attached is the travel itinerary for the Kansas trip tomorrow. We are scheduled for
a 5 pm departure from TEXAS AERO terminal at Waco Regional Airport.
Texas Aero is located immediately adjacent to the main Waco Regional
Airport - about 100 yards to the RIGHT of the main terminal (if facing
the airport). It has a large TEXAS AERO sign on the front of the
building.
You may park in regular Waco Regional parking lots OR there is a white,
gravel parking lot out in front of Texas Aero terminal where our guests
usually park for the trip.

PLEASE PLAN TO ARRIVE at Texas Aero between 4:00 - 4:30 pm tomorrow.
Once the team arrives at 4:45 pm we should be ready to depart. Please
be sure to bring photo ID (if legal age) for check-in and security
purposes.

Please note that our travel guests are invited to attend all team meals, practice at
the arena, and the pre-game chapel/meal at the hotel. However, if you have other
plans to sightsee on your own in Lawrence, that is fine as long as you have your
bags packed and on the bus prior to departure from the hotel on Wednesday.

I am working to schedule a short "campus tour" and possible tour of the KU athletic
facilities during the day on Wednesday when we have some free time. I will have
more info on that if it works out by tomorrow.

Weather forecast is attached below. While it will be colder in KS than
here, please remember that most of our time will be spent either in the
bus, hotel, arena, or other indoor areas.

If you need anything at all prior to departure or during the trip,

Well I sure didn't think Baylor was up for this game. I think at the beginning it was going to be just like I thought throughout the game and Kansas would have blown them out. Then Baylor was able to make a few shots on them and it built some confidence and they saw they could play with them. Baylor has a pretty good team and since Kansas didn't cover I wish we could have beat them out right. Sorry for the bad pick here guys, just didn't see Baylor being able to play with them.
