I was wondering if anyone knows where I can find a motherfucker on these boards?

Kind of odd how all these things go down just before the fight.

I'd have to say, I'm curious about the Jardine-Bader fight as well as the Bisping-Silva fight

Odd indeed and I'm an none too happy. I was really looking forward to Crocop getting me some money and I was hoping that Elvis would get a win. It's complete bullshit that he will not get to be on this card. I genuinely feel bad for the guy.

It really does suck. I wonder what kind of money people drop for camps? He obviously spent a lot of time and money investing in his training. You always hear that... but I wonder what the costs are for a Muay Thai coach, for a boxing coach, BJJ, etc...

I'm sure it depends on the camp itself and how long. I can't remember anything for sure, but it seems I recall a fighter saying that a 6-week camp cost him something like $7000.

Anyone else have anything more concrete?

I think I've narrowed down the fights. I'm leaning:

    Bader

    Nog

    Silva

    Stevenson

Going to narrrow it down to 2 or 3 and then bet those for tomorrow

7k sounds about right. Heath Herring said he got 60k for the Lesnar fight and after taxes and camp he had 40k left.If you figure 20-25% for taxes it would be right at the 7k mark .

Of course its probably like anything else the better of fighter you are the more you spend on camp. Some of these guys only get 5k to fight so they cant be spending 7k on training .

Re: UFC 110: Discussion & Bets

    Final bets are:

    5u Stevenson @ -275
    5u Bader @ -135
    3u Soszynski @ -135
    1u Dollaway @ +200

There is an underdog for you guys that like to make fun of me. I am actually kicking myself in the nuts for the Bader bet, I wish I could take it down to 2u, as I definately do not feel 5u confidence there.

    * my loss @ 109 is still chapping my ass. So I have gone way overboard here, as is my M.O. My recommendations were 5u stevenson, 3u bader, 1u Sosz (no bet on CB).

I was thinking about that, too. My guess is that most of the guys who are getting 5K to show are probably still training with their local gym where they started for $100 a month or whatever. I doubt too many of them are at Greg Jackson's.

You could hedge it. Personally, as I've made clear, I hope KJ kicks him to death, but I don't think it's a horrible bet. I am very nervous for the Techno Viking.

I did consider hedging it, which I never do. But then again, I never make stupid ass bets that I hate either.

I am really keeping my fingers crossed on that one. I feel pretty good about my other bets though.

    Who do guys have, recap?

I really think that CB is going to give Reljic some problems. After watching the Gouviea fight, I think Goran's grappling prowess might be a little over-stated. He let Gouveia control him for a long time. With the injury and the lay off, I put CB at like -115.

Hes been out like 2 years right? Thats a real long layoff, coupled with back surgery, that spells trouble to me.

CB has the sub defense of a quadrapalegic, so you never know though.
