And Mousasi ruined that parlay. If he is the only loser on that original bet, I am going to find Mousasi and put him in a locked room with a group of NCAA wrestling champs.

I don't know. I thought it was terrible. All 3 fights were completely boring at point. All 3 guys I wanted to win lost. The "mayhem" after the card.Originally Posted by SPX

Yeah, Dana doesn't care if something harms the reputation of MMA, as long as it hurts his competitors more than it hurts him.
The problem is that it's hard to determine if Hendo losing is a good thing. After all, Hendo just shut down Bisping and beat Franklin--both current UFC fighters--so what does it say that he lost to Jake Shields?Originally Posted by zY|

Pretty sure he's referring to the overall atrocity.Originally Posted by SPX

Like I said a few posts above, I don't think it was a bad event. In fact, I think it was an improvement over past CBS events in that the commercials were kept under control this time.
As for the craziness at the end, hell, that's gotta be good for ratings. . .

Sorry to all the guys that lost majorly on Hendo by the way. My half unit gone would have been better then all of your guys' major bets.
I'm not sure I even like MMA anymore after that bullshit.Originally Posted by SPX

OK, imagine this: What if all of the championship fights from UFC 111, UFC 112, and Strikeforce Nashville had been three round fights instead of 5 rounders? Don't you think that would have massively boosted the entertainment value of each card? Fans can usually take a boring 3 round fight; it's when they also have to sit through two extra rounds of lopsided top control or dancing around that it feels intolerable. Fights rarely get finished in the 4th and especially 5th rounds anyway. Maybe they should just kill the 5-round fight idea.

Just rewatched the chaos Jason Miller asked where his rematch was then Shield pushed Miller, then Gilbert Melendez pushed Miller,Jake Shields then punched Miller and Miller tired to hit everyone in the Shield camp. Then Diaz and the rest of Shields camp rushed Miller and took him to the ground while they punched and kicked Miller.Once Miller was on the ground up to 7 of Shields camp were punching/kicking him at the sametime while 2 staff and one looks like promoter tried to break it up

I think the problem was moreso that this was amateur hour. King Mo, Mousasi, Hendo, and Shields were all gassed in the 3rd round.Originally Posted by Svino

At least two debates have been settled.
1. American MMA>Japanese MMA
2. No way would Aoki even get BJ Penn to break a sweat.
