It seems like some niggaz would know when to just give up and move on to something else.

But I have to admire their heart. . .

Zaromskis was the surest thing I thought since Anderson Silva over Maia. Of course I was wrong. There goes whats left of my bank roll.

Thank God Zaromskis was a three-to-one favorite. Otherwise I would have placed good money on him. Funny how these things work out in the end.

With Babalu having fought at HW in the past, and Lawler being as low as WW, I really think the 195 catchweight favors Sobral.

I think there will be a lot of clinching. Lawler's striking is not as great as I remembered either. I like Sobral now. But I still feel that Lawler will have an advantage the longer the fight goes.

So, basically, you are going to lose because I agree with you.

So basically, nice call Luke. I of course, didn't bet it as is the pattern. My new thing is that I call every fight correctly EXCEPT the ones I bet. I called Zaromskis wrong too though, but never even considered betting it.

Babalu means "little bear" in Portugese for whoever asked.

Damn, so they're paying peeps $1000 to fight now? That's shitty, even for Strikeforce.

How much you think the guys on the prelims got for WEC last sunday?I wouldnt guess much more than 1k each but I could be wrong

How about Court McGee: $8,000 and Kris McCray: $8,000 for a main event ?Thats what I call shitty

Sobral got 100k and Robbie got 85k for being the main event on strikeforce

I think even the lowliest WEC undercard fighters get $3K or so.

It's shitty, but that's TUF money for you. You can't really hold that to the same standard of regular events.

It's not great, but you can bet it's a lot more than Varner and Shalorus got for headlining their card.

I agree 1k is a joke to pay someone but how much does a prelim fighter deserve ? The stadiums are usually a third full when they fight and no one really knows who they are.

I mean honestly what do you think the min. should be?

Bellator is paying 1500 to show and another 1800 to win for their no names on the undercard.

I actually think that is pretty generous. Some of these guys suck and should be thankful for $1000.

I really think $5K, personally. I mean, these guys are potentially tomorrow's superstars. Besides, we all know that there's a lot more to fighting than just the fight. I doubt most of the undercard fighters are doing full camps, but for those that are, that shit costs money. And for those that are not, there's still standard gym fees, increased food costs for those following a proper diet to get ready for a fight, etc.

Plus, after taxes these guys are clearing like $750. Fuck all that.
