    Strikeforce Challengers 8

This Friday, hopefully lines will be out today.

    Matchups:
    Matt Lindland vs. Kevin Casey
    Tyron Woodley vs. Nathan Coy
    Roger Bowling vs. Bobby Voelker
    Tarec Saffiedine vs. Nate Moore
    Bryan Travers vs. Pat Healy

Lindland could be worth a bet if he opens low because he has looked terrible. Coy has already beaten 3 very good wrestlers in Jesse Taylor, Rick Story, and Mike Pierce. But Woodley is a beast. I suspect he will be like -300 or so though.

If the line is reasonable, Ill be all over Woodly, but he will probably be like -500 and up.

All I know about Casey is that he is a bjj brown belt under Rickson... but he is 3-1. Lindland has been submission prone, but I would need to see more of his game. Lindland is not going to just go out and give up his arm. He has fought plenty of bjj fighters and not been subbed. Unless Casey is a big dog, I probably won't bet it.

I think I will make a play on casey. Rickson brown belt means legit black belt usually. The only problem I see is him getting lindland to the ground. Maybe we will see lindland take casey down like he did Jacare lol

Lindland's standup is nothing to write home about. His gameplan is probably going to be to clinch and do some dirty boxing.

Maybe Casey can pull guard from the clinch or something

I wouldn't call Lindland submission prone really. He's only been submitted three times in his entire career by Jacare, Fedor(who outweighs him by about 30-40lbs), and Murilo Bustamante. Those are pretty credible grapplers to say the least. I don't see Lindland getting submitted unless he really leaves something out there. I can see Lindland controlling the pace and bullying this guy around with double underhooks against the cage, Lindland from top control is a scary thing though. Assuming the line isn't crazy on Lindland I'll probably be on him.

Don't write Nate Coy off too much. If he is a big dawg there is value there. He has trained/sparred with woodley numerous times and from what he told me he wasn't too impressed.

I suspect he will be about -400. I wouldn't bet the fight either way. Like I said, Casey has already beaten 3 very good wrestlers. Woodley's path to victory isn through the striking, IMO.

Nate is just as good of wrestler IMO. What people fail to realize is Coy was NCAA all-american. Lost to Koscheck for 3/4 at 174lbs.

Yeah I don't think I'll be on Lindland now.

.7u to win 2.2u on Coy. I meant to only do half that but 5Dimes gave me an error message and then when I redid it from scratch it counted it twice. Bastards.

Didn't know that... like I said though, should come down to striking, which is why I am not betting. But it sound like there is some value to Coy
