Yeah Tibau looks good at those odds. Good chance he can put Miller on his back.

Didn't Bocek put Miller on his back? But with ease? I think Bocek won that fight, but I had a bet on Miller so I was happy :)

    That's true.

You may have just talked me into a bet on Gleison "The Welterweight" Tibau.

Alright, SPX, it's all up to you and your yellow belt to give us a good show against Maia. Have at it, Hoss. Just remember to come back with your shield or on it.

Dude, I'd fuck Maia up. I prefer fights that are at least somewhat competitive.

Anyone else here think Cole Miller's not getting enough respect at +215?

I think it is about right. Cole can win this by sub, but has no way to get Pearson down. Pearson has a clear striking advantage, and I doubt Miller can take him down... Even if he did get him down, its not auto-death. Actually, if some money comes in on Cole, I will probably bet Pearson.

If Okami or Munoz (most likely Okami) have no injuries and are ready to fight soon, I can see one of them stepping in against Maia.

I don't know much about Gunderson, but should he be +400 against Escudero? Anybody have any thoughts on Drwal/Catone?

You're probably right. Still, I'm not taking Pearson at those odds. In fact, I went ahead and dropped .5u on Cole. I just think he's the kind of fighter that you can never count out because you never know what he'll come up with. And with Pearson still being relatively green, there might be value there.

I don't trust Cole on the feet. In his last 2 fights he was beaten on the feet.... Escudero KOd him and Lauzon dropped him before he got subbed. I think Pearson would be Escudero and Lauzon on the feet.

I wouldn't mind seeing either guy step in for that fight, though I think Okami has a better chance to win.

I've been thinking about this one. I'm sure Drwal would win on the feet, but is it possible Catone could just outwrestle him for three rounds? Drwal doesn't really have a history of fighting a lot of strong wrestlers.

I'd be happy to hear some thoughts on this one from others, as well.

    ^ I wouldn't touch Pearson @ -250 either... but I would consider him @ -200

I think Catone is going to beat Drzwal. As a matter of fact, I am going to go make that bet now.

Catone has only lost to grapplers, he has not had trouble with strikers. Drzwal on the other hand, has lost to the only 2 grapplers he has faced. Catone is a decent D1 wrestler with a bjj brown belt under Ricardo Almeida. @ + odds, I like it a lot.

I don't know that you're giving Drwal his due here. You say he's lost to the only two grapplers he's faced, but have you really done a background check on all those guys he beat back in Europe?

In the UFC, he's 3-2, with his two losses coming after losing a striking battle against Thiago Silva and losing via sub to Palhares. And I don't think I'm going too far out on a limb to say that Catone is no Palhares.

I don't think Catone's wrestling has translated that well to MMA. He struggled with--and lost to--Tim Credeur who, while being a pretty good BJJ guy, should not have been able to escape from Catone as easily as he did.
