Oliveira is going to give Efrain a lot of problems... I won't be surprised at all if he beats him. If he gets to +200, I will be on Oliveira. I might even be on him @ +155 where he is now... he is a very good prospect.

Efrain is good but I feel like he is over hyped. He is one of those guys that they decided to make tv shows and all that shit about. He has a solid record, dont get me wrong..but he had enough of a time with Dan Lauzon, he was the one that supposedly didn't train and he still put up a solid fight against him. Other than that he beat Cole miller who is decent and Phillipe Nover who seems ridiculously over hyped.

Efrain is a juco all american that has used that to submit a lot of people.

I think your right about olivieria, he is very well rounded and has stopped every single person he has fought but one..and he has a slam ko.

Are Oliveira's takedowns close to Dunham's? Dunham took Escudero down pretty easily.

Hold up on the Dan Lauzon thing. I remember vividly watching that fight and at no point at all did Efrain even look like he wanted to go to the ground. He was all about showcasing his standup and doing stupid shit for 15 minutes that night. Lauzon spent most of that fight gassed the fuck out and with his back against the fence while Efrain looked like a Richard Simmons impersonator with flying knee's galore and shit. It was retarded.

This is how I remember it as well. He toyed with "The Upgrade" for 15 minutes.

    LOL

Yeah, pretty much. It wasn't a particularly entertaining fight, but it was all Efrain. At no point was he in trouble or did he even look like he was really exerting himself.

^And yet, he didn't finish him.

I am just saying, don't sleep on Oliveira... He is extremely slick on the ground and could very well sub Efrain from his back. He is lanky and very fast... he could win the standup too. Efrain is mexican though and looks like he has pretty good power... I am just saying, it is a close fight, Oliveira is legit. Efrain hasn't done any thing terribly impressive yet. IMO the best thing Efrain has done is hang in there with Dunham, who has proved to be quite the badass.

^^^ I don't think Efrain was particularly concerned about finishing him.

As for Oliveira, you may very well be correct. I know nothing about him.

I want to rewatch Leites/Marquardt and Palhares/Hendo but I am leaning towards Palhares.

I also regret my small bet on Tibau because I think Miller will win now. I figure Tibau will win the first round, then slow down halway through the 2nd and Miller will turn it up and win the decision.

    I can't imagine that a college kids wasn't concerned about landing a $60k bonus.

I am already on Palhares. I actually favor him so to get him @ +190 is awesome. I am banking on Palhares hitting a takedown or three. He took Hendo down several times, but wasn't able to keep him there very long. I am banking on him getting it more often on Nate.

Yeah, a lot of people seem to think Palhares' only way to win is a heel hook or a sub, but I think he can neutralize Marquardt on the ground for 2 out of 3 rounds.
