Thinking about Bigfoot/Hendo 2 to win 1.4
My only concern is that Kyle has probably been doing nothing but working takedown defense in prep for Roger. But then again, Bigfoot outstruck Arlovski and Werdum in his last 2 fights. Is Kyle going to be able to outstrike him, even if he can keep it standing?

Hammersmith picking Babalu. . . Interesting. . .

Didn't Werdum outstrike Silva? He did win, I only watched part of it and it was a long time ago.
On another note, I am thinking about betting Lindland..his odds are getting better. I know it might not be a good idea but I almost can't help myself. After watching Lawler in his fights against Manhoef and Sobral he looked like shit. Granted Manhoef is a beast but he was afraid to engage with Sobral. I wonder if he will be like that with Lindland. I am leaning towards no because I think Lawler was deathly afraid of going to the ground with Sobral due to his submission prowess. Lindland does not have that prowess.

Maybe, even though Lindland isn't a huge submission threat, he has a good wrestling game.Originally Posted by edman5555
No Silva damn near put Werdum away in the first round. It was a close decision, which Werdum won because Silva gassed himself out in Rd 1 and Werdum out positioned him in rd 2 and 3. Had Bigfoot not gassed, he would have won, IMO. He was actually pretty competive grappling with Werdum. My guess is that Bigfoot is going to want to take Kyle down.Originally Posted by edman5555
Lindland does have a nice guillotine choke, which Robbie has been caught in before. My concern is tha Lindland is just too damn old and slow. He looked like a grandpa in his last few fights. But, I think he could win... just not confident in how the fight is going to play out. But as a dog, I can see why you would bet him.

I'm not going to bet him, he did look a little lackluster against his last opponent. That guy was 3 and 2 I believe. Not a top level opponent. He did win all the rounds and he tko'd in the 3rd but I can't bet. Maybe if he was +200 or something along those lines I would do it.

Lindland's last fight was against Kevin Casey. He is 3-2, but his only other loss was hist first fight, where he fought Minowaman, who has like 80 fights. Casey is a Rickson brown belt, and a pretty decent prospect. But yeah, Lindland should have won easy.

Yeah I did notice that the guy is a good prospect, but he is still a prospect with only 5 fights. I guess it isn't a bad win. He did get the tko. Maybe I was just nervous watching it because I had money on Lindland.

Chael Sonnen Josh Barnett hearing.
Barnett is a fucking jackass. He showed up without his lawyer and he basically had to leave. He thought they were just going to give him liscense back and they set him straight. It was great.

Good looking out, Luke.
I still don't get how newbies with records like 1-0 and mediocre fighters with records like 4-5 are getting onto Strikeforce cards.

Hmm, that makes sense. I haven't considered that.Originally Posted by Luke
They need to get more women on their cards. Granted, they're doing more for women's MMA than just about any other promotion right now, but when you really look at the cards almost every female fight is a title fight. Why not put some contender fights on, too?

As much as I made a case for Lindland earlier. I am starting to think Lawlor might just blast him out.
Yeah Lawlor will probably win. He might even be a good bet. He has power in his hands. The only way I can see Lindland winning is some sort of clinch game..I don't know if he can play that effectively with Lawlor..
