I don't think it will. I bet the line gets worse for Jones. Personally I think Jones has the advantage but we'll see. What is everyone else think?

I will take Shogun as an underdog. Jones has not faced a submission threat yet, and Shogun is also the best striker Jones has faced. It is hard to evaluate Jones because he is just so damn dominant so far. But if I can get the best LHW in the world @ +odds, I am probably going to take it.

I am leaning towards Bones. More so, because of the Shogun Injury/layoff, than anything else.

Yeah, in other circumstances, I would have been psyched by Anderson's kick. His demolition of Forrest was a thing of beauty. But having to wait for so long to see Vitor fight again only to have him go down like that was disappointing.

Also, there's this: "Steven Seagal Talks About Teaching Anderson That Front Kick"

I mean, I realize that when your fundamentals are as solid as Silva's, you can spend some time playing around with crazy shit, but do I owe Seagal an apology now? Fuck me.

Yeah I hear what your saying but I wouldn't lay into it too much.

Yep, definitely true on both counts. That makes this a really interesting fight. Jones has shown he can dominate other wrestlers, but the best Striking-and-Jits guy he every put away was Vera. Shogun has major threats for him.

I read that Firas Zahabi and Georges had made a statement saying they wanted a non title fight at 185 before they take on Anderson. It makes sense, Georges needs to acclimate to the change in weight and work his way up properly. I have a feeling this may end up happening. Then we can have GSP versus Anderson. I don't know who wins that one. Georges isn't knocking Anderson out or submitting him so he has to take him down for 5 rounds without getting caught. That will be very hard to do. I favor Anderson but we will see.

WAIT! just take GSP via decision. It's the only way he is winning.

Go to 29:30 and you can hear Silva crediting Seagal via Ed Soares.
