Varner has looked like crap lately why are you so sure about a bet at -245?
Not to mention he had 18 pounds to lose Monday just to make weight
2015 MMA BETTING CHAMP
A few reasons I like Varner (there will be some MMAth here):
1. He was actually winning against Bendo before getting caught in the guillotine . . . and Bendo smoked Roller.
2. I don't hold his loss to Cerrone against him. Cerrone looked like a beast that night.
3. He also clearly beat Kamal even WITHOUT Kamal's point deduction. Terrible judging in that fight.
4. Roller's biggest win is probably Anthony Njokuani, a fighter who is known for having big problems on the ground. Anytime Roller's fought anyone who was close to title contention he lost--Pettis and Henderson. Varner is a former champion who has superior boxing and, I think, good enough wrestling to keep it on the feet.
I don't like the line, but I think it's a bad fight for Roller.

IIRC, Roller's grappling looked like shit against Pettis, and he gassed.
I will not bet Varner, just can not do it.
Cerrone really should smoke Chris.
Pickett should win.
Will bet Cruz.
Wineland is getting close to value IMO, I was going to bet him if got under -200.
^^What do you know about Stone?

Cerrone 3.25u to win 1u
Roller .7u to win 1.26u
Wating for the props, Probably will end up betting Cruz by decision.
I think Cerrone crushes Horedecki, and Roller if he's on can possibly beat Varner. I say 60/40.

Hard to say. My guess is they'll stay right around there. I obviously should've waited on Varner but it seemed like his line was headed into space.Originally Posted by Luke

Caraiso has value IMO
Not sure why Barao is such a fave. Barao was having a lot of trouble with Leone in his WEC debut. He was struggling to get the takedown on Leone and lost a round before catching the armbar in rd 3.
Caraiso showed some nifty bjj of his own in his debut against Rebello, though he did get taken down repeatedly. But he got up a lot too and hit some sweeps. And he looks to have decent striking.
Barao is a supposed ot be a bad ass, but I think Caraiso is totally viable here.

If Bart's line goes back up I might get on him for half a unit.
What makes Kamal so fucking awesome? I do think he should be favored, but Bartimus is a solid fighter and has the experience edge.

cruz/Jorgensen goes the distance 3u to win 2uOriginally Posted by Thewiseman
I was thinking about Pickett also. My concern is that he seems comfortable in fighting anywhere, and he may concede takedowns and lose a close decision. Maybe a bad decision.Originally Posted by MMA_scientist
Just hard to imagine a guy(good fighter mind you) basically taking 4 years off and then coming back to beat a DAMN good fighter in Pickett, and Pickett seems to really have found his stride.

If Shalarus fights a smart fight, he will probably win, but I think he will stand and bang, making this a coin flip.
