I wish there was MMA every weekend to watch. At least starting next week we get 4 straight weeks.

This January 22nd, the XFO, the Midwest's premier mixed martial arts organization will hold its first event of the year at the Woodstock Harley Davidson in Woodstock, IL with XFO 38: Pulver vs. Lindquist- Located at 2050 S. The guy has a 6-19 career record .

I swear the guys Pulver,Jardine and Shamrock are fighting these days are worse than the local guys that fight in high school gyms .

Sorry but if you really need to go as low as fighting someone with a 6-19 record you really need to just quit

Jardine's only fights outside of the UFC were Prangley and France. France wasn't exactly a scrub though. I wish there was a video of that Jardine/France fight.

Come on X you dont think going from being UFC champ to fighting a guy with a 6-19 record means its time to quit? Whats it going to prove if he wins? That he beat some guy that was 6-19?

I'm sure he didn't hand pick his opponent. But I don't begrudge him fighting a can or two while he readjusts with his new camp.

Overeem and Mousasi do it all the time. James Thompson? Gary Goodridge?

Big Nog Weighs in Upcoming TUF, Brock vs JDS and Strikeforce’s GP (via: PVT)
Regarding TUF and JDS vs Lesnar:
TUF is going to be important to showcase Brazilian MMA in the US, show them how we train united. I showed them that when I was TUF coach and Cigano will show the same. We’ll be going to visit him, me and Anderson, but Cigano is a guy who already knows how to teach, he already teaches. He’ll know how to show the techniques and show why he’s one of the best in the world. As for Lesnar, he doesn’t kick, so Cigano will not need to train too much defensive Muay Thai, as he was training for Cain, he can now rely more on training offensive Muay Thai. And this is the type of fight where he’ll look for the KO, train a lot of wrestling, train the guard because he could end up falling underneath (Lesnar), even though Lesnar’s GnP is not as good as Cain’s. But (Cigano) will look for the KO in this fight.
    Regarding Strikeforce’s HW GP
I think Big Foot, Fedor and Barnett will be the favorites for the GP. The fight between Fedor and Big Foot could be an anticipated final. (Big Foot) has good wrestling, he’s tough, and he’ll be the biggest challenge to Fedor in this GP.
Regarding SF supposedly having the best HW’s.
I do not agree, I think the best are in the UFC. Strikeforce has a lot of tough guys, we’ll have big fights in this GP, but the UFC is still more complicated.
