Hardy is pretty terrible. Almost no ground game, his striking isn't as technical as it should be for a guy who lacks KO power.

So I guess everyone he has beaten is also pretty terrible? So really, if you are not top 10 you are terrible?

    Nice.

Don't put words in My mouth. I didn't say anything about his opponents but yeah, aside from Marcus Davis(who he riled up with those 'your not really irish' remarks and likely took him off his game) the guys Hardy beat have been shit. Gono was long past his prime, Markham was never anything special and without a punctured lung Hardy may not have gotten his only UFC KO win to date that night. Mike Swick has fought once since losing to Hardy because he can't complete a camp without getting hurt.

If Hardy is good then what does he do well? He's a striker who isn't technical or powerful. Is he a brawler who barely knows what to do on the ground or is he a one dimensional bum in a division full of fighters who will eat him alive night in and night out?

I think that both the Davis win and the Swick win are quality. I don't understand what Swick's proneness to injury or illness has to do with how well he fights when he's actually in the cage. Swick gave Okami a hell of a fight. It was a good win.

And I actually think Hardy is a pretty accurate striker. I remember him landing some real sharp, precise strikes in the Swick fight.

Put Hardy in there against Matt Brown or someone similar and I think Hardy wins.

I guess we could put him in there with anyone who's tailor made for him like Matt Browne and he'd win. Would you pick him to beat Daniel Roberts, John Howard, or Ben Saunders? I know I wouldn't.

    Roberts and Howard, for sure.

Saunders might give him some problems.

I would favor any WW on the UFC roster, along with a lot of LWs over Hardy.

I was yelled at for almost an hour last night, via texting, for calling Hardy a bum.

Normally I'd battle you over calling alot of the fighters you have called bums, bums. But on this one we're in total agreement. Hardy just isn't a top flight fighter at all. Anyone who goes on a 4(and probably 5 after this) fight losing skid needs to be canned no matter what market they represent.

I think that if you're fighting top guys then maybe it just means you need to step down a few rungs on the latter. The fact that this seems like some foreign concept to y'all is blowing my mind.

He did get a step down the ladder, two of them. He got mushed both times.

He was fighting a top 10 guy in every loss he took.

The fact that you think Roberts or Howard would give him trouble makes me LOL.

Johnson was absolutely no ranked in the top ten. He hadn't fought in a year and a half before the Hardy fight. He was a question mark the whole time. Lytle I don't think has EVER been ranked in the top 10, he's always been a game fighter who brings the excitement, but I don't remember a time when he was, especially not when he fought Hardy since he was coming off a loss to Brian Ebersole. Your fan-dom is clouding your judgement, young padawan.

AJ may not have been officially ranked, but after the way he beat Hardy and destroyed Brenneman, can you really say there were 10 better fighters in the division at the time he fought Hardy? Same for Lytle?

I think Daniel Roberts would be competitive with Hardy. Roberts is a good grappler, he only gasses when he is being outgrappled.

I don't think Roberts could get him down.
