It was exciting to see Jones demolish him with elbows.

Kind of. At both of my jobs (well I only have one now, I will get to that in a second) I made it clear no Saturday nights. But I basically did the restaurant and my girlfriend a favor (weird situation involving hiring people and scheduling and stuff until end of August) and said I'd do Saturday nights until the end of the month. However, FUCK THAT, I AM TAKING THE NIGHT OFF. DONE.

As for my 2nd job I kind of don't have anymore:

The owner violated her contract with our gaming company. On Tuesday, the gaming company shut off all the computers and they are not accessible. The "casino" is closed until next Monday where it will have new software. FEELS BAD MAN. I just got this job, and from now until school started I was looking at like 50+hours a week and huge paychecks until then. Now, it's closed for 2 weeks. I've had a string of bad luck lately

So in 2 weeks when the "casino" is up and running again, you get back to work though, right?

Yeah, but school will be starting so not nearly the amount of hours I was going to be getting. And they are all getting new software/games, and the old people are gonna be pissed I bet and go to the other one the next town over. So the tips will be going down as well.

Shogun gassed just like scientist said he would and lyoto handled bader easily just like he said he would. I am only suprised by the rua gassing. That was a good call.

    Why?

    UFC 76- gassed
    UFC 93- gassed
UFC 97- won in round 1
UFC 104- didn't gas, but it was a slow paced kickboxing match
UFC 113- won in round 1
UFC 128- gassed (in like 3 minutes, I just watched the fight two nights ago)
UFC 134- won in round 1
    UFC 139- gassed
    UFC on Fox 4- gassed

Pretty much as expected. I only saw the last 3 fights. Lauzon's triangle was slick. I should have gone heavier on Machida, Bader was pretty helpless out there- I don't think he landed a shot. Rua gassed, and they really need to replace Rogan. Shogun was dominating Vera IMO, he came close to stopping him several times, and Rogan would not STFU about Vera.

I am mad that I didn't bet Yahya, I really thought he would win.

I don't agree with that. I thought Vera did quite well and kept rounds 2 and 3 pretty close. He also landed several good combos that looked like they rocked Shogun pretty badly. There were a few different moments where I was like, "Wait . . . what? Is Vera actually going to win this fight?"

Considering that Vera is who he is, I think he deserves a lot of credit for that performance.

See, i was more thinking, "Damn, Shogun is dead tired, can barely move, and he still whupping Vera's ass." Any success Vera had, IMO, was directly attributable to Shogun not defending. I will be betting against Vera in his next fight, because his line is probably going to be inflated with everyone thinking he has turned some corner, when in fact he still got stopped by a guy that looked like he could barely stand up.

^^same goes for Shogun. If he ever fights Machida again and Machida is anything better than -150 I'd bet the shit out of that. If he fights Gustafsson I'd fade Shogun. Hell...if Shogun fought Bonnar and Bonnar was +200 I'd bet Bonnar decent sized, especially if it were a 5 round fight.

Yeah, Shogun's gas tank is shit. But... the difference is that Shogun is a vert skilled and powerful fighter. So he can still stop just about anyone on any given night. He swarmed Vera in Rd 2 I think and I thought he was going to stop him there. But you are right, if he has to grapple for more than a few seconds, he just dies. That's why I was surprised when he came in with a grappling game plan, especially considering Vera is a pretty good grappler in his own right. I mean, I could understand if he was fighting someone like Stann or someone where there would be a very real expectation that he could just get the TD, mount and finish. But Vera is decent and hard to stop by grappling. It was weird.

Well I think that we saw in the Hendo fight that Zombie Shogun is kind of a case of looks being deceiving. He looked like he was on his deathbed after the first couple of rounds and somehow just kept on going and going.
