I just watched the fight again. Holloway MIGHT have been winning until the takedown but it's very much debatable and was by no means decisive. He was getting hit just as much as he was hitting Poirier. Poirier only threw 5 strikes on the ground and the strike count was even 11 to 11 according to zYmetric.com.

Played Hamman to win a unit. I would have went bigger if his chin wasn't such a question mark.

Don't like this card for betting. Shields is the only one who stands out to me.

I think its fair to say that fom what we have seen and the research that i have done that holloway is fairly one dimnsional. He wants to keep it standing and outstrike his opponent. Lawrence should be technically better standing due to his experience kickboxing. I also think he packs a lot more power. Holloway is 5'11" and this is 145 pounds. He is a skinny guy. He started training when he was 16. I doubt his technique is as sound as lawrences is with six iska titles.

Am i the only one that thinks ed herman can take it? Ne seemed like his takedown defense was pretty decent against starks. His bjj is good too. I would think shields path to victory is outwrestling him for 3 rounds.

Fuck that. Just dropped enough to win 1.5u on Shields.

Herman's solid, but certainly not a top fighter. Shields's stand up has been looking a lot better and we all know how good his grappling is.

I was just watching an interview with jake shields and he mentioned how the altitude in colorado takes a lot of energy out of him. That could benefit frankie edgar in the title fight. Bendo is a bit bigger and could tire. It makes me think about the rest of the fights.

Well ufc 135 was in denver. Rampage made it four rounds. Maybe i should scrap this theory.

I agree, Herman can definatly win this. I'm gonna look.into it, I may be betting him. And Hendo completely gasses in that fight.

Well, Jake Shields even said himself training has been rough since he got there. I think the theory is true....lots of fighters even say so. There is a reason why fighters relocate their camp to altitude as well
