I guess I lean Lombard in this one. His standup is probably better than Palhares. Still a tough one to bet considering Palhares potent finishing power on the ground. His strikes are actually somewhat hard as well. They aren't that technical from what I remember though.

Sotiropolous/Pearson: This one will be close IMO. I could see Sotiropolous controlling him on the ground if he can get him there. I think Pearson has a good shot at keeping it standing though. Pearson is kind of a thick guy with a lot of strength in the clinch. I don't know who has better striking in this one. Anyone have an idea? I tend to lean towards Pearson but G-Sot has some pretty decent boxing IIRC. Nothing special but not bad. He outboxed Siver in the third round of that fight.

Seth Baczynski- Mike Pierce: I think Pierce is really good but I haven't really seen a lot of Baczynski's fights. Pierce has a really strong base and pretty decent boxing. Who knows. Maybe I will watch some tape on Baczynski.

Igor Pokrajac - Joey Beltran: Sorry for pulling a major Edman. Igor should dominate this one IMO. I think his wresting should make the difference. It should be interesting to see Beltran at 205 but I just dont see them being on the same level skill wise.

I really like Pearson at +odd for this fight. Pearson's tdd is good enough to keep it standing and i think he will. (why should he go to the ground with Sot?). Now I believe his stand up is a level above Sot. He lost to Cole Miller (got caught there), the Barboza fight was really close, it could have gone either way and just got KOed by Swanson. Both Barboza and Swanson are much better strikers than Sot. They are alot faster with more power. Sot's boxing is pretty average to me. He has long reach. that's it. Sot could somehow take this fight to the ground and sub Pearson but unlike that's gonna happen with Sot's average td ability. I think Pearson takes this. The only thing i worry about on betting alot on Pearson is this fight is gonna be in Australia and there's a chance Sot will get a hometown decision.

Although Palhares doesn't typically go the distance, I can see Lombard getting a real boring decision. I don't get why people label him as some sort of killer, he is boring as fuck. Lombard by decision +313 is appealing.

Bet it. It's funny how a max bet (very low for a max bet imo) moves the line from +313 to +264. The lines stay stable for so long and then one $100 bet and it gets brought down a lot. It just shows how much people don't actually play these props.

Let's not forget how quickly Marquardt finished Paul Harris. I can see a similar situation against Lombard where he just gets trucked because he's got the mental capacity of a nine year old.

That was flukey, though. Belcher is a better example.

They're both good examples since Marquardt wasn't the only guy to ever catch Palhares going full retard out there. Remember that shit with Dan Miller where he thought he knocked Dan out and ran up to sit on top of the cage for 45 seconds while the ref is trying to tell him the fight's not over?

Do yourself a favor and watch it because Palhares almost got knocked the fuck out right after coming down.

Anyone have opinions on Baczynski and Pierce? Seth has a huge height advantage. I think Pierce should take it with his wrestling though.

I put a bet on Pierce by decision. We'll see what happens there. I think he should be able to take Seth down but Seth seems to have some good finishing ability. I didn't want to pay -400 on it. Too much.
