Escudero/Griffin should be interesting. Not sure Escudero should be that much of a dog.

Dakota Cochrane should get another shot at the UFC. Dakota Cochrane > Jamie Varner > Edson Barboza

Considering his recent performances he should be like -160 max.

Damn, I might take Paxaio at those odds. Lance Palmer was NCAA runner up at Ohio State, really physical guy and his wrestling should translate to MMA (power double, slam, type guy). BUt this is his first fight and he is fighting a world bjj champ and experienced MMA fighter, although Paxaio was never really great and couldn't ever make his BJJ stand out in MMA. I think there is a very good chance that Palmer just gets caught here.

Pe De Pano too... -402 though. But Pe De Pano is legit, a great great grappler with no takedowns. I am going to look at Yager, there could be some opportunies here.

Yager is a former d1 wrestler. Pe De Pano should still win, but I don't think I want to bet that at -400.

I'm busy today....not sure if I will be able to look at all these fights decent enough. Do it and do some write ups.

However....I did notice something. Kalikas (very good handicapper...the guy who sets the odds for BM and betdsi) opened Pettis @-170. I think he did this on purpose to get money in on Pettis since he knows about all the hype; he probably expects Jones to come through. After listening to a lot of his interviews/breakdowns of his own of fights, I would not be surprised if this was the case. /kind of conspiracy theory.

Sergio Pettis looks like a beast. He will probably be in the UFC pretty soon.

As MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) reported this past week, would-be headliner Yvel (38-16-1) scratched from the card for undisclosed reasons. His original opponent, Marcio "Pe de Pano" Cruz (7-3), now will fight replacement light heavyweight Joe Yager (5-0). Their fight has third billing on the card.
This was from October 25th. So Joe Yager is a late replacement...also Scientist..you said D1... I see this:

Yager, who won a Division 4 state title at Fulton as a senior in 1999 and later had a stellar senior season for the Chippewas in 2004, is currently 5-0 as an MMA fighter. Cruz enters the fight with a 7-3 career record.

Apparently he was a D1 wrestler...that article I read was dumb..

He admitted he will be using his wrestling in reverse. Cruz has some pretty shitty striking and likes to back up with his chin straight up in the air. Won't be surprised to see Yager get the upset here.

I think the D-4 was highschool, the Chippewas are Central Michigan. (D1)

Yeah, that's kind of what I was thinking. I was confused how he was a senior twice..I did not know there were divisions like that in high school.

    ^^ignore this. I just realized he is -215 on bookmaker/dsi. The -285 I saw was from 5dimes.

I think they go by how many kids go to the school and they classify it from there.

Yeah, some states have divisions for wrestling. Most don't. I don't get it personally... it is in an individual sport, what difference does the size of the HS make?

Anyway, I read that he wrestled 3 years for Central Michigan. I don't think he was a starter though or if he was, I don't think he was that good. Pe De Pano will probably pull guard and tap him out. But Yager could definitely get the upset because PDP has shit striking and shit takedowns. But he is pretty tall.
