5 minutes in and I can tell there's already something of a tone shift, like they're trying to be more "serious" with this season.

Yeah I watched the whole thing and enjoyed it, actually. The production seems much better and it was just overall more engaging. Will I continue to watch? I don't know.

The highlight of the show, IMO, was the white guy who gave his last couple bucks to his trainer, and was giving this sob story about how he is losing his house, divorced, etc. Then goes out and gets raped.

Im thinking dude is gonna win and the UFC are gonna work a nice little story about this guy. LMAO

I thought it was pretty good overall. There's definitely a step up in production as compared to past seasons. I wonder if that will continue to be the case once the fighter's get into the house.

I'm not sure if it's the black dude you're talking about, but Uriah Hall looks like a beast. I had actually heard of him before. Only losses are to Chris Weidman and Costa Philippou:

I thought Uriah looked really good though, best I saw anyway.

Uriah looked like he may have some cardio problems as he was gassing a bit in the second round from what I can recall, but technique-wise he looked on point. I'd consider him a front-runner to win the whole thing.

I also just noticed that his loss to Philippou was a majority decision. If he can take Costa to an MD then he should rough up most of these TUF dudes.

I saw the last hour or so, I didnt see any promos being cut by Chael, both guys were pretty cordial and professional.

Chael cut a few jokes throughout, which Jones characteristically didn't know how to react to so just kind of acted awkwardly. And Jones talked a couple of times about how he just doesn't like Chael.

But for the most part they acted professionally, like Zak said. Something tells me Chael is kind of spinning a web of trollery and that this shit isn't going to last for long, though.

LOL yeah I loved that part and all the other guys' dreams being destroyed. Why are ostensibly all aspiring MMA fighters emotional train wrecks? OH yeah and also that dude that had his kids watching and of course he loses. Awesome. I thought bringing the families in was a nice touch.

And my favorite Chael moment was when Jon got up, went to the cage, and started coaching Andre 3000 during his fight; he comes back and Chael is all deadpan 'So do you have a preference in this one, Jon? Are you neutral? Where are you at on this one?'. Gold.
