4-STAR Miami over LA LAKERS - People are being awfully quiet here to just write the Lakers season long struggles off as fixed simply because they won two games. Those games came against the Cavaliers and Bucks. Miami is a completely different caliber of opponent. The Heat are motivated after a much more mild recent slump and should keep things going here.
Miami won last night, 92-75 in Golden State. The Heat are 9-0 ATS (10.1 ppg) since January 13, 2006 after a win against the Warriors.
While they are playing a back-to-back, it's not as big a concern because of the rest they've got the past two games. Neither Chris Bosh, nor Dwyane Wade played even 30 minutes in either of the past two games. The Heat are 7-0 ATS (9.1 ppg) since February 14, 2012 after Dwyane Wade played fewer than 30 minutes the last two. Also, the Heat are 6-0 ATS (7.8 ppg) since December 04, 2010 after Chris Bosh played fewer than 30 minutes the last two.
LA is coming off a 104-88 win over Milwaukee Tuesday. They had 30 assists and just eight turnovers in that game with Steve Nash leading the way with 11. The Lakers are 0-15 ATS (-10.0 ppg) since March 02, 2012 after a game at home in which they had an assist to turnover ratio of at least two and one player had at least seven assists.
One trouble spot still was free throws as they went just 10-of-18.
