Same. Mousasi might have some success in round 1, that's it. Gustafsson -200 would have my bet.

hes beaten some top kickboxers. He is the netherlands amateur boxing champ and a great mma figher. Gustaffson is good but i feel like he will have a hard time with gegard. His reach wont be as useful. Maybe I am wrong.

I see it as 50/50, I will play on any of the 2 if one of them is a over +150

I favor Gustaffson. The striking is probably a wash, with the technical edge to Mousasi and the size advantage to Gus. Gustaffson may throw in some takedowns though. He does go for them pretty regularly... and I think he is a lot bigger than Mousasi. Mousasi really should be a MW.

Gustafsson might be the better striker technically. He is definitely much bigger and will have a huge speed and reach advantage. This is a 5 round fight. If Mousasi doesn't get the win early, he is done.

i don't know about a speed advantage- Mousasi is quick. And he rarely takes any damage standing. Gustaffson got clipped a few times against Shogun.

Gustafson uses mostly his hands as well doesnt he? Mousasi has beaten the k1 kickboxing heavyweight champion.

I agree, Mousasi has really good striking and a pretty good ground game. He just doesn't have TD defense or TD's of his own. He uses the "you're screwed regardless of where you take it" gameplan like Nick Diaz and Anderson Silva. I don't know if Gustaffson is the guy to exploit that, but he does go for a surprising number of takedowns. I just think the striking could go either way, and Gustaffson can probably ground him if he needs to.

You are referring to 2010 Mousasi. Following his fight with Jardine, Mousasi said that he started to train A LOT in the wrestling department. If you take a look at the OSP fight, you could CLEARLY see a huge improvement in that department for mousasi. not only OSP could not get him down, but additionnaly , mousasi was taking OSP to the ground. Mousasi is not as easy to take down as he was years ago. I don't think that Gustaffson will be able to take Mousasi down easily.

^^ Maybe. Or maybe he just hasn't fought anyone with good enough takedowns since. He really hasn't been fighting the top guys. I mean, I know that Keith Jardine took him down several times. I know that was a couple years ago... but he has only fought OSP since then (as a TD threat)

I would lay 10u on Gustafsson if he was -175 or better.
