Where the action is: Bettors on Denver moneyline

Sunday Night Football of the Week 12 schedule brings us a high-profile matchup between the Denver Broncos and New England Patriots.

We talk to Mike Perry, an oddsmaker with Sportsbook.ag, about the action coming in on Week 12's marquee matchup.

Denver Broncos at New England Patriots (+2.5, 54)

It's been the source of many a story over the past seven days, but Peyton Manning and Tom Brady will square off for the 14th time in the storied careers.

Books opened the Pats anywhere from a 1-point to 3-point home dog with the scoring machine that is the Denver Broncos in town.

Denver is a week removed from a big 27-17 victory over their AFC West-rival Kansas City Chiefs and are on a three-game winning streak both straight up and against the spread.

On the flip side, the Patriots lost 24-20 to the Carolina Panthers on Monday Night Football last week, but Brady will look to build on his 9-4 SU record against Manning.

"We opened Denver -3 and on Friday afternoon, we got a sharp bet on the underdog, so moved to current number of Broncos -2.5," says Perry. "Almost split down middle on the spread, as 51 percent of cash on the spread is backing the Broncos."

Perry and his book opened the total at 56, and bettors have come in and backed the Under. Denver was an automatic Over play for the first eight weeks of the season, but have played Under the total in back-to-back games.

"The total has been dropping all week, going from 56 to 55 on Tuesday, and then again on Thursday from 55 to present number of 54," Perry said. "Much bigger decision on the moneyline as 71 percent of cash here is on Denver (-125)."
