4 Unit Play. Take #979 Under 8 +100 Chicago Cubs at Houston (8:10p.m., Friday September 9)
The Cubs offense can explode any game but this play is all on the pitching of the Chicago Cubs starter Jon Lester. Lester last 3 starts he is 2-0, WHIP 1.04, and his ERA in thse 3 starts is an outstanding 0.86. Lester's last 5 starts all 5 of them have gone UNDER the total and in those 5 starts the Cubs pitching staff has only allowed 7 runs. Houston starter is Joe Musgrove tonight and his last home start the Astros beat Oakland 6-0 and if he can keep the ball in the ballpark this game should fly UNDER. Chicago is 0-4 O/U in their last 4 Interleague games and the Cubs are 1-6 O/U following a loss. Houston is 8-17 O/U in Interleague games against a left handed pitcher and Jon Lester tonight mows down the Astros hitters

Friday's Selection ...
For Friday, Top-Rated 1000♦ is the N.Y. Mets with Gsellman over the Atlanta Braves with Teheran. At 9:00 am eastern time, the Mets are +110 both in Vegas and offshore. Note: Both listed pitchers must start, or NO ACTION on this release.
The Mets will need to figure out how to beat the Braves, as they were swept in June by Atlanta on their home diamond, and then could only manage a split in a four game set when next the teams met to end the month of June.
Things have turned a bit in favor for New York, as they have won 5 in a row, and 14 of their last 18 games overall to get right back into the postseason mix with less than a month remaining in the regular season.
The Mets have also won 9 of their last 11 games played in HOTlanta, and will go with the hot Robert Gsellman who is 2-1 with a 2.87 ERA since coming up to the big club in lieu of all of the injuries to New York starters.
Julio Teheran gets the nod for the home team, and when last he faced the Mets tossed a one-hit shutout at them in June. Teheran has not allowed a run in his past 3 starts versus New York, so the Mets will have their work cut out for them for sure.
The bottom line is this...NY cannot afford to lose to a team like Atlanta with so little track left in the season, so let's back the Mets to figure it out and improve on their 14-4 mark.
Note: Both listed pitchers must start, or NO ACTION on this release.
