    View Analysis

There is little to no love loss between the Dodgers and the Giants. There is zero love to LA from starting pitcher Madison Bumgarner who again got into a scuffle with San Fran's long time division rival the last time he faced the Dodgers.

The oddsmaker are gifting as much as little as .30 cents in this NL West affair tonight at ATT Park. The Giants are one game behind the Mets for the top National League wild card slot and a game up on St. Louis for the second spot with three games remaining. The Dodgers could give a rats arse about this game other than the fact they would like to knock the Giants from the playoff format. That however, isn't enough to make them slot the ailing or use their bullpen excessively in a meaningless game. They will have to use the pen tonight as we don't expect the often injured and disabled list regular (for blisters mind you) Rich Hill to go more than 80 pitches or five innings.

Hill has made just five starts since joining the Blue of Los Angeles at the trade deadline and it because of his blistering (pun intended) curve ball and what it takes to put the excessive rotation on the pitch, Hill's pitch, that is. The Dodgers left-hander continues to struggle with a blister on his left middle finger and has been suffering from a sore neck as well. He is, without question, one of the key arms for this October's postseason roster and pitching plan so he will not only be limited tonight he will not throw his curve 42% of the time, which is what he has done so far in 2016.

Healthy and at full tilt Hill is 3-2 with a 2.60 ERA while striking out 38 batters against 10 walks in seven career starts against the Giants. However, this is not a healthy Hill.

Bumgarner has the advantage tonight. Not only motivationally and situationally with his team in the heat of postseason positions, but the Dodgers are the bottom of the league when it comes to facing left-handed pitching... throw a motivated and quality arm like Bumgarner into this scenario and the Giants are a buck-fifty to buck-seventy five money line investment tonight.

However, currently your outlay is much less.. and more than favorable... a must play on Friday night.

    SAN FRAN GIANTS -120
