Statistically, Osweiler has been inferior to Siemian, who ultimately won the job that was giftwrapped for Osweiler once Peyton Manning retired. He won't do much because the Texans are a run first and run second type team. He’s thrown as many interceptions as touchdowns, and only Ryan Fitzpatrick has been picked off more times.
Lamar Miller will get most of the airtime for Houston as the 3rd leading running back in the AFC. The Broncos have their own running back and should have more success against Houston's defense than Houston will have trying to go against one of the NFL's best "D" in Denver. C.J. Anderson, the Broncos' leading rusher with 330 yards and three touchdowns on 94 carries, and the offensive line will have an opportunity to rediscover their stride against the Texans, who feature the 29th-ranked rushing defense in the NFL. This rushing success should open up extra lanes for QB Trevor Siemian to hookup with his wide receivers. The Broncos have suffered back to back losses and not demand individual accountability. From a technical standpoint the Broncos could stand to do a better job of running the ball, something they did with expertise while beating the Panthers and Colts to open the season. Back to basics!! Houston has faced three of the NFL’s top scoring defenses. In those games, the Texans have failed to score more than 19 points, averaging just 10.7 points per contest. Denver ranks eighth in the league overall, allowing 18 points per game. Returning home against probably the worst division leader in the NFL, the Broncos should show why they are one of the Super Bowl favorites and a clear-cut winner tonight.
