3-Unit Play. #701. Take Utah Jazz +2 over Oklahoma City (Saturday @ 3:05pm est)
The Jazz are probably tired of losing to the Thunder and this is a nice spot for them to do well. This is a Utah team that has to be beyond irritated from losing to OKC in their last game where they were up with 4 minutes remaining and then Russ did what Russ does and single handily won the game for them. We remember that game because it was a step-out for us. Note, we are still up +$5200 on the year but this is a nice spot for a Jazz team, that has the top defense in the league, who just beat Houston at Houston mind you, to do well here against OKC and likely take control from the opening tip. We like Utah to be very foucsed here having already lost 2 in a row to OKC.

3-Unit Play. #710. Take Orlando Magic +9 over Cleveland Cavaliers (Saturday @ 7:05pm est)
The Magic come off one of the worst beat downs in their franchise history it seemed losing by 40 points ot the Hornets yesterday. We were on the Magic in that ugly game. But, we do expect them to bounce-back here as Cleveland continues to face teams that get up for them. They have lost 3 straight, they beat the Magic earlier this year in a tight game that saw them win by 6 points and this will be a great game for Orlando to get up for in a big way coming one of their worst losses as they likely step it up here. The Cavs are 0-4 ATS facing a team with a winning percentage of 40% or below and the Magic are 4-1 ATS following an ATS loss as well.

3-Unit Play. #722. Take Portland Trailblazers -4 over Washington (Saturday @ 10:05pm est)
We roll with Portland here for what should be a solid win for them. Portland is a decent public fade here as most of the public likes Washington but note that Portland is a squad that is starting to come together having won several in a row for their stretch run. This is a team that has 28 wins, lost to Washington by 19 earlier this year and now faces them at home, Washington is due for a let down, Portland is a difficult place to play and they have beat OKC twice in their last 5 games. Look for Portland to continue to play well here as 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games facing a team with a winning record.

4-Unit Play. #773. Take Over 129 Pennsylvania vs. Princeton (Saturday @ 1:30pm est)
This game is likely to go over for a couple reasons the least of which is that Penn is going to show up today. This is a Penn team that has definitely gotten better as the season has gone on. This is a Penn squad that just dropped 75 points against Harvard a top 125 team at home and after starting conference play 0-6 has moved to a solid 6-8 in conference play which is impressive considering it's a 6-2 conference run. This team beat top 160 Yale on the road b 16 points as well and has moved to top 60 when it comes to 2 point field goals. This is a team that faces a mighty Princeton team that went a perfect 14-0 in conference play. Mitch Henderson's team is top 50 when it comes to effective field goal percentage and after giving up sub 50 points in their last game, they are likely to have a let down defensively here against a very active underdog and motivated Penn team. Remember, Princeton/Harvard went to 142 so there is no reason a Penn team who is playing as well as any competition in the Ivy for Princeton can likely go over here as well. The Over is 6-2 for Penn in their last 8 neutral site games and the Over is 4-0 for Princeton in their last 4 games as a favorite on neutral footing.

3-Unit Play. #741. Take Under 127.5 UCF vs. Southern Methodist (Saturday @ 3pm est)
Nice spot here for UCF and SMU in what should be a solid under. This is a UCF team that is playing great defense right now and they should be given a lot of credit as Johnny Dawkins has done a solid job coaching this team after the Stanford firing. UCF is a squad that has played fantastic defense against elite schools such as holding Cincinnati to 49 points and this team is clicking on many cylinders which is why they have won 6 contests in a row. This is a top 20 defensive team, top 2 in opponents effective field goal percentage and SMU comes off giving up 77 points to lowly ECU in their last game and they will be motivated defensively here as well. Don't be surprised if this contest likely goes under the posted total this evening.

4-Unit Play. #754. Take Middle Tennessee State -9 over Marshall (Saturday @ 8:30pm est)
MTSU is for real. This team which is coached by Coach Kermit is the same squad that beat Michigan State handily in last year's tournament before falling short to Syracuse in an ugly fashion. Now Kermit Davis's squad is 29-4 and 17-1 in conference play. This team is not just good but very good as they are top 20 in turnover margin and though it is tempting to take Marshall here, note that this is a team that beat Marshall 11 points on the road and Marshall is outside the top 250 on defense. This is a Marshall team that is one of the worst in the nation when it comes to offensive rebounding as well. Don't be surprised at all here to see MTSU win and quite possibly win big here as this is a decent public fade to boot as well. Don't be fooled by both teams having 20+ wins. MTSU is a class above.

    Saturday's Selection ...

For Saturday, 2000♦ Double-Your-Wager winner is Cincinnati as the favorite against Connecticut. At 9:30 am eastern time, the Bearcats are -10 1/2 point favorites in Vegas and offshore.

Boy, talk about a "stacked deck", the Connecticut Huskies have been a middling team all season long, and now they are just 2 games away from punching an automatic ticket to the Big Dance come tomorrow late afternoon.

Kevin Ollie's team dispatched Houston yesterday in a game the Cougars were both the higher-seed, and the solid -4 1/2 point favorite in. The Huskies opened the tourney with a Thursday double-digit win over South Florida. Yes, UConn fans you have hope, and I expect the majority of the crowd at the nearby XL Center in Hartford to be pro-Connecticut, but I don't see it mattering today.

Cincinnati has answered the bell all season long for Mick Cronin, as his Bearcats have racked up a 28-4 ledger this season that features their current 8-game winning streak. The 'Cats did cover their opening round in this tournament yesterday, pasting Tulsa by 19-points as the 15 1/2 point chalk, and of course the game before that to close the regular season saw them humble Connecticut by 20 on their home floor.

Cincy has covered 3 in a row, and 4 of their last 6, and they did sweep the season series both straight up and against the spread this year versus the Huskies, and they have captured 5 of the last 7 series meetings overall. The favorite in the series has covered 7 of the past 10.

Of course playing so close to their campus is a MAJOR benefit for the Huskies, but the bottom line is the Bearcats have been the class of the AAC (along with SMU) all season long, and they are prepared to punch their ticket to tomorrow's final with the win and cover.

    Lay it with Cincy.
