Charlotte's strength is actually their passing game as they will have new parts in their running game and consequently we expect them to resort to the pass early and often. The 49ers defense have a ton of questions on the defensive side of the ball with a loss of a quite few defensive players, but they should be better than the 25 points per game they scored on offense last year as they have most of their skill players on offense returning. The 49ers defense gave up 35 points last year and it is likely not going to get any better this game and they face an Eastern Michigan team that went to their first bowl game in quite some time, have great depth when it comes to their running game and they return their respective skill players in the receiving core as well. This likely makes for an over here.
