    UFC Fight Night 116

PPG Paints Arena - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - Fox Sports 1
    Saturday, September 16th

    Anthony Smith -110

Lombard’s UFC run has been terrible. He's coming off three losses in a row, with two of them being brutal knockouts. Smith is 11-1 in his last 12 and has finished opponents in 24 out of his 27 wins. Lombard has gotten inside and blasted every opponent in recent memory but Smith stands seven inches taller and eight inches longer, that size advantage should make it very difficult for Lomard to get up and close. The key here is for Smith to survive Lombard's initial blitz. Lombard is undoubtedly the most powerful fighter Smith has ever faced but Lombard gasses badly when he doesn't finish a fight quick and it’s been six years since Smith has been finished by strikes. As long as Smith’s chin can withstand the first round onslaught, it should be all “Lionheart” with his massive punching power and dominating top game overwhelming a gassed out opponent.

Won the bigger write-up play with Anthony Smith winning by KO

Martin lost split decision (could have went either way but of course I'm on the losing end of every split decision). All the time judges put too much value on a takedown when the guy is only on top for a few seconds and does no damage.

Lost the total with Rockhold beating the living shit out of Branch late in round 2
