Rudy Gobert (15 PPG, 12 RPG) continues to blossom into one of the most dominant big men in the NBA and he should have his way with Phoenix. We wouldn't be surprised to see Gobert snag 20 boards in this game.

Houston has won three of their first games to start the season and is led by MVP candidate James Harden (26.2 ppg, 8.8 apg). On Monday, the Rockets managed just 33 second half points during a 98-90 home defeat against Memphis. Houston turned the ball over 18 times and shot just 9-for-38 from the three-point line.
Eric Gordon tallied a game high 27 points on 8-for-20 shooting to go along with seven assists for the Rockets. Harden chipped in 22 points and eight assists in a losing effort.
After years of asking their fans to trust the process, the Philadelphia 76ers have the look of a team that is ready to take a step forward. Philadelphia dropped three straight games to start the season, but looked very impressive during a 97-86 road triumph over Detroit on Monday night. The 76ers outrebounded the PIstons by a 57-46 margin and limited them to 39 percent shooting on the evening.
Talented Philadelphia big man Joel Embiid was the best player on the floor, tallying 30 points and nine rebounds. Ben Simmons posted his first career triple-double with 21 points, 12 rebounds, and ten assists.

The Calgary Flames are playing the St Louis Blues this Wednesday night. St Louis will be hosting this game at the Scottrade Center in Saint Louis, MI. Both teams are right in the thick of things and looking to establish themselves early on in the year.

The Lonzo Ball era has begun in Los Angeles with mixed results. He came in and hit 6 of 8 3-pointers to deliver a win for the Heat after they were outscored 29-15 in the third quarter.
Starting point guard and veteran Goran Dragic averages 19.7 points and 5.0 assists per game. His best game came against the Pacers, when he knocked down 9 of 13 shots for 23 points. Dragic's role has grow over the last few seasons, and he leads a young Miami team with playoff aspirations for the 2017-18 season.

Something to watch is whether he keeps his minutes per game average up around 36, where it's been the last few seasons.
Brooklyn looks unfortunately lousy again, with not a lot on the roster to get excited about. However, the Nets bounced back from a loss against the Pacers to back-to-back wins against Orlando and Atlanta. In the victory over the Hawks, sharp-shooting Allen Crabbe came off the bench to knock down 4 of 7 3-pointers and lead Brooklyn with 20 points.
Without Jeremy Lin, the Nets will rely heavily on D'Angelo Russell. The talented point guard out of Ohio State averages 21.0 points and 7.0 assists.

KATHY'S CLOWN - This horse could be close at the end. She's got a great late kick. Running 1 1/16 miles on the grass, you've have to look at horse's turf figures. This thoroughbred has the tops in the bunch. Biancone adds Lasix for the 2nd time today. Certainly could make the difference right here. This horse has a lot of class. A good sign in a race on the grass like we have today.
Vulnerable Contenders: #8 WICKED OBSESSION (ML=5/2), #4 MY FAVORITE GIFT (ML=7/2),
WICKED OBSESSION - Should be difficult for this thoroughbred to beat this bunch off of that last speed figure. Doubtful to improve enough to run a figure close enough to today's class rating, so put her on the likely underlays list. MY FAVORITE GIFT - Would be taking an underlay on this thoroughbred at the probable odds of 7/2.

SAMBUCCA STEVE is the strongest bet in this race. This gelding has posted some nice finishing positions in his last several efforts. Has to be carefully examined against this group displaying solid figures recently and an average speed rating of 82 under similar conditions. Has strong front-end speed and should fare very well versus this group of animals. SUN MAGIC - Has respectable Equibase Speed Figures and has to be considered for a bet here. Trainer boasts strong win figures at this distance and surface. W W CONCERTO - Looks respectable for the conditions of this outing today, showing solid figures in dirt sprint races recently.

CANDY PHIL - When this jock and trainer join forces you have to take a look. Wilson and Buttigieg have been wonderful together. Lets try to beat the chalk with this filly. Just missed last out, but ran a decent race. ARTILLIA - This jock/trainer duo has been producing a very beneficial ROI, right at +33. This filly should be in fine condition, this far into her form cycle. This filly's last speed fig is good enough to score here, I'll bet on her back again this time. MADAME GIZMO - It looks like Moreno had to learn about this filly on September 16th when riding her for the first time. Back on board again today. Likes to go to the front and the fact that today is a shorter trip should be favorable. Faced tougher last out at Woodbine. Based on Equibase class ratings, this is a weaker bunch, so I will put this thoroughbred on my list of top contenders.

BOURBON BABE - The lack of works has to make one concerned despite the nice performance in the last race. Finished second in her most recent effort with a somewhat easily forgotten speed rating. When I look at today's class figure, it would take an improved performance to score after that in this field. SHEZ A TEN I KNOW - In the last affair this racer finished sixth. Doesn't look good for her chances in today's event.
