Central is 3-2 on road with both losses at ACC school; five of their last six games stayed under the total- they’re 6-3 vs spread as road dogs under Bonamega. World Series Game 7 betting preview and odds: Astros at Dodgers

Yu Darvish was dreadful when matched against Lance McCullers in Game 3 as he gave up four runs and six hits - including a homer by Yuli Gurriel - while lasting just 1 2/3 innings.

Houston Astros at Los Angeles Dodgers (-160, 7.5)

    Series tied 3-3

Either the Los Angeles Dodgers will end a 29-year title drought or the Houston Astros will celebrate their first World Series championship when the teams compete in Game 7 at Dodger Stadium on Wednesday. The wild series that has featured a record 24 homers was extended to a seventh game Tuesday as the Dodgers posted a 3-1 victory.

Los Angeles solved Astros ace Justin Verlander in Game 6 and looks to ride the momentum when Yu Darvish takes the mound against Houston's Lance McCullers Jr. "You've got the two best teams in baseball going head-to-head," Los Angeles manager Dave Roberts told reporters after Game 6. "Like we've talked about from the beginning, these two teams mirror one another. But we worked all year long to have home-field advantage, and here we are." The Astros hope a second chance will deliver the outcome they crave after seeing their offense get shut down on Tuesday. "Now it feels like we need to play seven," Houston manager A.J. Hinch told reporters after the setback. "I'm glad the series isn't over in their favor. But this series has been back and forth - and two incredible teams trying to get to the finish line."

    TV:
    8:20 p.m. ET, FOX

    LINE HISTORY:
The moneyline for Game 7 opened at -130 following Tuesday night's game, but by Wednesday morning the home team Dodgers had been bet all of the way up to -160. The total hit betting boards at 7.5 and has yet to move.

    WEATHER REPORT:

Cloudy skies and temperatures in the low/mid 60's for Game 7.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Astros RH Lance McCullers Jr. (1-0, 2.95 ERA) vs. Dodgers RH Yu Darvish (2-1, 4.15)

McCullers was on hold for possible relief duty in Game 6, so he did his day-before throwing in right field following the conclusion of Tuesday's contest. The 24-year-old defeated the Dodgers in Game 3, when he gave up three runs and four hits with four walks over 5 1/3 innings. "I just have to stick with my game plan and execute a little bit better than last time in certain spots and just be a competitor out there," McCullers told reporters after Game 6.

Darvish was dreadful when matched against McCullers in Game 3 as he gave up four runs and six hits - including a homer by Yuli Gurriel - while lasting just 1 2/3 innings. "I can't pay that much attention to what happened last time," the Japanese Darvish said through his interpreter at a press conference. "Just focus on (Wednesday's) outing and have a good game." Darvish has served up seven homers in 24 2/3 career postseason innings, which includes his tenure with Texas.

    UMPIRE REPORT: Phil Cuzzi

Phil Cuzzi gets the coveted home plate assignment for Game 7 of the World Series tonight.

Cuzzi is an umpire with a very pitcher-friendly strike zone. His strike percentage of 64.7 this season is one of the highest in baseball and Under is 18-14 in his 32 games calling balls and strike this season.

Cuzzi's results also favor the home team at 21-11 in 2017. An interesting note is that Cuzzi has two previous home plate assignments during the 2017 postseason - both at Dodger Stadium and both games that were won by the home team. In fact, dating back to 2014 the Dodgers have won six games in a row in which Phil Cuzzi has been behind the plate.

    TRENDS:

    * Astros are 1-5 in their last 6 road games.
    * Astros are 2-8 in McCullers Jr.'s last 10 starts.
    * Dodgers are 6-1 in their last 7 playoff home games.
    * Astros are 2-8 in the last 10 meetings in Los Angeles.

    CONSENSUS:
The public is siding with the home team Dodgers in Game 7, with 60 percent of wagers on Los Angeles. Bettors also like the Over here with 69 percent of the totals wagers selecting above the posted number.

    WALK OFF NOTES:

    * This will be the first Game 7 between two 100-win clubs since the St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Philadelphia Athletics in 1931.

    * Houston RF George Springer (9-for-24, five walks) hit his fourth homer of the series on Tuesday and is one shy of the World Series record shared by Reggie Jackson (1977) and Chase Utley (2009).

My free play for tonight is on the Washington Wizards, who return home from a lengthy trip to see the Western Conference. They're going to exhale and unwind with a blowout win over the Phoenix Suns, while tuning up for a battle with the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday.

The Wizards split their four-game tour with Sunday's 110-93 rout of the Sacramento Kings, and should be rested and ready to roll for a Suns team that will be exhausted after losing an 18-point lead in the second half at Brooklyn last night, watched the Nets score 17 unanswered points, and then claw back for a 122-114 victory after trailing the Nets by eight points with 6:15 left in the second quarter.

No way you're getting the same effort on the second of back-to-back nights from this team.

    Take Washington.

So many reasons to bet the over in this game, where do I start?

First of all, pitchers Yu Darvish and Lance McCullers Jr. both combined to give up seven runs in Game Three. Secondly, the bullpens on both sides stinks.

Let's look at the numbers for more reasons. The over is 5-1 in McCullers Jr. last six road starts.

The Astros bullpen has been loose to say the least, they sport a 5.89 ERA in the playoffs, while we have seen a combined 24 home runs in just six games.

More numbers? The over is 7-3 in the Dodgers last ten home games against a right-handed starter.

    Go Over in Game Seven.

    Now about this complimentary winner

My free play is on the Pittsburgh Penguins on the road at the Edmonton Oilers.

I'm not sure what is going on with Edmonton's 1-2 scoring punch, but it's not working. Even with last season's NHL scoring leader, Connor McDavid, and Leon Draisaitl, who finished eighth in the points race, the team has scored two goals or fewer in seven of the 10 games.

Edmonton's 22 goals is second-worst in the league.

Now comes Pittsburgh, which has been shuffling the lineup, but has been much better offensively than the Oilers.

I'm not sure how morning skate will go, but I'm sure the Pens are up bright and early and ready behind Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, and Phil Kessel.

    All Pens tonight.

There’s no such thing as a must-win NBA game in November, but the Cavaliers figure to have a little extra resolve in their step in this one after losing three straight – all to mediocre opponents. If LeBron James was steaming after back-to-back road losses to Brooklyn and New Orleans, has to be just about ready to blow now that Cleveland has a defeat at home to the Knicks on their resume. Indiana has surprised at 4-3 SU and 5-2 ATS, but the NBA Superhighway is littered with teams playing the back end of a back-to-back set on the road against a superior opponent. Expect a reversion to the mean in this one with the rested James and the Cavaliers taking control early and covering.

#NBA FREE PICK FROM MIKE LUNDIN

Atlanta vs. Philadelphia, 11/01/2017 19:00 EDT

    Point Spread: +8/-103 Atlanta

    Sportsbook:
    PinnacleSports

The Atlanta Hawks opened the season with a 117-111 win at Dallas, but they've dropped six straight games (1-4-1 ATS) since. Those results are the reason why we're getting a bunch of points and good value on the Hawks here at Philadelphia Wednesday night.

Philly is coming off back-to-back wins in Texas, beating both Dallas and Houston, and it would be quite easy for them to look past the lowly Haks here. We can also note that the 76ers are 0-2 at home this season, falling to Boston and Houston despite holding second-half leads. The Hawks can't keep losing forever, and I expect them to at the very least make this a competitive game and cover the spread.

The Hawks have won and covered the spread in seven straight head-to-head meetings.

My free pick is on Atlanta Hawks.

    NBA | Wolves vs Pelicans
    Play on: OVER 224 -108

10* FREE NBA PICK (OVER 224)
It's hard to put a finger on why the Timberwolves are playing so bad on the defensive side of the ball, but I think you have to keep taking the OVER until we see things start to turn around. The OVER is now 6-0-1 on the season in Minnesota games. They have allowed their opponent to shoot 50% or better from the floor in 4 straight and the best they have done all season is hold an opponent to 46.1%. They have allowed 113 or more in 5 straight and will face a Pelicans offense that has scored 114 or more in 4 of their last 7 games. New Orleans is also struggling on defense, as they have allowed at least 101 points in every game this season. They face a potent Timberwolves offense that has scored 100+ in each of their last 6 games. I think we see 230+ in this one. Give me the OVER 224!

    NBA | Suns vs Wizards
    Play on: Suns +12½ -103 at 5Dimes

1 Unit FREE PLAY on Phoenix Suns +12.5

The Phoenix Suns have been a completely different team since firing Earl Watson and sending Eric Bledsoe home. They have come together as a team while going 3-1 SU & 4-0 ATS in their last four games. They beat the Kings 117-115 and the Jazz 97-88 at home, while only losing 107-114 in Portland as 12-point dogs. Then they upset the Nets 122-114 as 4.5-point road dogs last night. Now they are catching 12.5 points against the Washington Wizards Wednesday. Give me the Suns.

    NHL | Penguins vs Oilers
Play on: Oilers -109 at betonline

Edmonton was favored to win the Pacific Division, but they have started 3-7 SU. Among the losses was one to tonight's opponent Pittsburgh eight days ago and they are coming off bad home defeat to Washington by 5-2 score. As terrible as that sounds, home favorites of -200 or less like the Oilers, revenging a loss of one goal, off a home loss by two goals or more, they are 51-16 since 2013.

Toronto @ Denver 9:05 PM EST
    Play On: Denver -1 1/2
The Toronto Raptors travel to Denver to take on the Nuggets on Wednesday night. Toronto is 4-2 SU overall this year while Denver comes in with a 3-4 SU overall record on the season. Denver is scoring 107.2 points per game their past 5 games overall. Denver is allowing only 94 points per game at home this season. Denver is 27-13 ATS last 40 meetings overall vs Toronto. Denver is 4-0 ATS last 3 years in all meetings vs Toronto. I like the Nuggets at home here. We'll recommend a small play on Denver tonight! Thanks and good luck, Rocky

    NBA | Magic vs Grizzlies
    Play on: Magic +4 -110 at 5Dimes

    Dave's Wednesday Free Play:

    1* on Orlando Magic +4

The Key: The Orlando Magic have been one of the biggest surprises of the young season. Frank Vogel is getting the most out of this team in his second season there. The Magic are 5-2 with their only two losses coming on the road by 7 and 5 points. They have also beaten Cleveland by 21 on the road and San Antonio by 27 at home to really flash their potential. They also beat the Pelicans by 16 on the road last time out. I'm starting to believe it's not a fluke. The Grizzlies have injury problems everywhere with JaMychal Green and Wayne Selden out, and both stalwarts Marc Gasol and Mike Conley questionable for this game. I'll take my chances with the Magic tonight whether or not those two play. Take Orlando.

    NBA | Bulls vs Heat
    Play on: Heat -9½ -108 at 5Dimes

Jack's Free Pick Wednesday: Miami Heat -9.5

The Miami Heat will be highly motivated for a victory tonight. They have lost three straight to three of the best teams in the league in San Antonio, Boston and Minnesota coming in. But now they have a chance to take out their frustration on arguably the worst team in the NBA in the Chicago Bulls.

The Bulls are just 1-4 this season and missing several key pieces due to either injury or suspension. Their only win came against the Atlanta Hawks at home, and the Hawks would give them a run for their money as the league's worst team. The other four games have resulted in losses by an average of 16.5 points per game.

Hassan Whiteside has missed the past five games due to an injury, but he may return tonight. The Heat also got good news on the injury front with Goran Dragic listed as probable with an illness. The Heat are close to getting back to full strength now. They probably don't need to be to beat the Bulls by double-digits tonight. Bet the Heat Wednesday.

    MLB | Astros vs Dodgers
Play on: Dodgers -1½ +135 at BMaker

The game now is difficult to prediction, but my lean.....a sort of weak lean so I am giving my thoughts out free.....is on the Dodgers: Here are some important factors to consider: *The Astros are 5-15 SU (+36% roi fade) since Sep 18, 2016 as a road dog Fade Astros*The Astros are 8-21 AGAINST since Sep 07, 2016 as a dog Fade Astros*KEY SYSTEM: Since 2004, in the playoffs, a hot team off of 2+ straight wins in their last 3 games is 243-197 55.2% +50.57 units SU +9.1% roi when facing a cold team off of 2 or fewer wins in their last 3 games. (Take the Dodgers)+2 other big systems FOR the Dodgers (systems, not trends) ...but then we have this beast of a system liking the Astros:Since 2008, Championship Series or World Series teams off of a loss are 93-62 +29.58 units (+15.9% roi) SU...on the blind. (Play the Astros is the main conflict) Although....if you dissect that one, it completely flips to 2-9 SU (+42.5% roi fade ML / +84.7% roi fade RL) looking only at World Series games, later in the series, road teams only averaging at least a half a run negative run per game SU margin in their last 4 games. The Astros fit that bill as a fade.If the Dodgers win here, I think it'll be a 2+ run line win, but do consider the -1 or -1.25 asian handicap and go light on this one.

    NBA | Hawks vs 76ers
    Play on: Hawks +8 -110 at 5Dimes

I think now is the time to back off of the Sixers here. They just got their revenge over the Rockets last game and are in a perfect let down spot here.
They have only played two home games so far this season and lost both of them. I know the Hawks here are nothing special, but this will be their biggest underdog role with starting PG Dennis Schroeder back in the lineup.
Sixers are 0-5 ATS their last 5 home games vs team with a losing record

NCAA-F | Central Michigan vs Western Michigan
    Play on: UNDER 48½ -110

Free Pick on W Michigan/C Michigan UNDER
I think we stay well below the mark in Wednesday's MACaction that has in-state rivals Western Michigan and Central Michigan playing for the Victory Cannon. For starters, the conditions aren't going to be ideal with a 70% chance of rain and temps expected in the low 50s.
I also think the matchup and situation will make it tough for both teams to score. Western Michigan will be without starting quarterback Jon Wassink, who suffered a broken collarbone in their last game against Eastern Michigan. The Broncos will turn to true freshman Reece Goddard, who has attempted just 3 passes. I think he will be used more as a running threat and Western Michigan will try to move the ball on the ground. That's perfect for a low-scoring game, as it's going to keep the clock moving and limit possessions.
As for Central Michigan. They come in off a game against Ball State where they put up 59 points. That looks great on paper, but Ball State's defense is atrocious. The Cardinals have allowed 50+ points in 3 of their 4 conference games. Prior to that offensive explosion, the Chippewas had averaged just 15.0 ppg over their previous 5 contests, scoring 17 or less in 4 of the 5. Western Michigan's defense is giving up just 14.7 ppg at home and should have no problem keeping their rivals under 20 points.
UNDER is 9-2 in the Chippewas last 11 when they are listed as an underdog and a perfect 6-0 in their last 6 road games after playing their previous game on the road. UNDER is also 8-0 in Central Michigan's last 8 against a team with a winning record. Take the UNDER!
