7 Unit Play. Take #521 Over 207.5 San Antonio at New Orleans (8:05p.m., Wednesday November 22)
Tonight at the Smoothie King Center the New Orleans Pelicans welcome the San Antonio Spurs and tonight I see points coming quickly. The Spurs come to the Crescent City winners of 7 out 9 games and tonight I see the Spurs offense having no problem scoring against the Pelican defense. The Pelicans are coming off a big home win two nights ago against the Oklahoma City Thunder 114-107 and the Pels defense continues to give up over 100 points at will. The Pelicans defense in their last 7 games has given up an average 117.1ppg and I see the same story tonight at the Smoothie King Center. The Spurs offense has been hit or miss as of late but again the way the Pelicans play defense I see this total easily going over. The San Antonio Spurs are 8-3 O/U in their last 11 games against Southwest division teams and the Pelicans are 5-2 O/U in their last 7 games.

    Wednesday's Selection ...

For Wednesday, Top-Rated 1000♦ is the San Antonio Spurs over the New Orleans Pelicans. At 8:00 am eastern time, the Spurs are +2 point underdogs in Vegas and offshore.

The Spurs need this road win. San Antonio is a solid 8-2 at home, but just 3-4 on the road. They will be playing for just the third time on the road this month, and did lose their last roadie in Minnesota on the 15th.

The Pelicans continue to be "fools gold", as they consistently tease you with promise, but never seem to pan out. New Orleans is 9-8 now after dumping Oklahoma City their last time out, but are only 2-3 against the spread their last 5 games at the Smoothie King Center.

This will be the first meeting of the year between the teams, and it is San Antonio that has gone 6-1 straight up the last 7 meetings. Based on that stat, not sure the Pels should be laying anything at all to the visiting Spurs.

San Antone just seems to believe that they will find a way to win when they face this team, so I say side with the Spurs as the small road dog.

    Wednesday Note
Is it just me, or did Akron not want to cover that game last night!?!?!

The Zips take it inside the 5 yard line in the closing minutes of play and then go into "victory formation", which was anything but a victory for me!

Need to get my plane off the ground and airborne for this long holiday weekend, that is for shit sure.

6-Unit Play. #585. Take Idaho -2 over Santa Clara (Wednesday @ 9:30pm est)
Take a moment and save money and join us for the entire NCAAB Season this year as we go for 9 straight winning days today and move to a fantastic 13-5 for +$4500 in the early goings of the season. We roll with Idaho here because we are fans of Don Verlin and his coaching style as he led this team to 19 and 21 wins after a 13 win season 3 years ago. He is led by Sanders and Blake who have plenty of big game experience and that have been with this program for some time and given that this team faces a Santa Clara team led by Herb Sandek, who mind you has one of the worst offensive efficiencies in the country, this sets up for a nice opportunity for Idaho and the consistency they have had under Verlin's system to shine through here. Santa Clara is the more well known school but they are still relatively new to Sandek's system and one of the worst 2 point shooting teams in the country as well as they are outside the top 300. This is a great spot for Idaho to get up for this game and the more well known school and get it done this evening.

3-Unit Play. #502. Take Charlotte Hornets -2.5 over Washington Wizards (Wednesday @ 7:05pm est)
Nice spot here for Charlotte to win here as they come off back to back big wins against the Clippers and Timberwolves. Charlotte is a team that if they get hot, they can produce a lot of wins quickly and they face a Wizards team that lost to the last time they met, they have revenge against and was Washington comes off its best defensive performance of the year against the Bucks, we think they will just have a let down against a Hornets team that is averaging 111 points a game recently. Look for Charlotte to have a lot of energy at home, have revenge and for Washington to have a let down as well - and in particular, on the defensive end. Let's roll with Charlotte to get it done at home as they should have plenty of focus and motivation.

6 Unit Play Take #584 'under' 153.5 Sam Houston State/Central Michigan (6:30pm est):

We've only got one real look at Central Michigan so far this year and though the Chippewas played well in their loss to Michigan, they looked like a lot different team than what we seen out of them last year. CMU was ranked 56th in offense last season and 345th in team defensive effieciency but they lost their two top scorers from that team. Those two guys combined to average more points per game than the rest of the players on the team combined. The Chippewas also played much better on the defensive end in their game against an outstanding Michigan offense as the game landed more than 20 points lower than the posted total. They face a Sam Houston State team here that finished 12th in the Southland Conference last year on offense and who scored just 54 points in their lone game this year against a D-1 school. This total appears to be way too high.

    Play the 'under'.

4 Unit Play. #529 Take Appalachian State +2 over James Madison (4 pm) No bet against James Madison will be a bad bet this season. They have lost 4 straight games and they really struggle to score points. The Dukes are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games overall. The Mountaineers have played the tougher schedule and that will allow them to win this true road games.

4 Unit Play. #557 Take Iowa -4.5 over UAB (12 pm) It is hard to figure Iowa being in the 7th place game but that is what presents itself today in the Cayman Islands Classic. UAB is coming off an overtime loss to Buffalo yesterday and I just do not believe that they have much left in the tank.

4 Unit Play. #584 Take Under 153.5 in Sam Houston State @ Central Michigan (6:30 pm) The Chippewas have reinvented themselves a lot this season and they are no longer the shoot quick play no defense type of team. The total opened at 160 but is way down from that letting us know we are on the correct side. Sam Houston State has gone under the posted total in 6 of their last 8 games played on Wednesday.

4 Unit Play. #585 Take Idaho -1.5 over Santa Clara (9:30 pm) The Broncos are terrible this season losing their two best players form 2017-2018. Idaho returns a lot of talent and should be able to win this road game tonight in Santa Clara. Both teams have played Nevada this season but Idaho was more competitive playing them in Reno (Santa Clara lost by 30 to them at home).

4 Unit Play. #594 Take Ole Miss -18.5 over Rice (10 pm ESPN U) No bet against Rice is a bad bet this season. They team got blown out by UNLV on Monday, a Rebels team that could not get out of their own way last season. Expect another blowout tonight against Ole Miss, a team that already has two double digits victories on the season. Rice is 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games overall.
Best of Luck - Doc's Sports. Full football card going this week featuring a 7-unit play in the NFL and a 6-unit play in college football.

    Perfect Play
Arizona (-14) over North Carolina State
Wednesday @ 7:00 PM (EST) -- Imperial Arena at Atlantis Resort
Arizona Here''s how most bettors decide their games. Their eyes see North Carolina State as a very impressive branded college basketball team. They see they''re getting +13.5 points. WOW!! NC State is 4-0. Hey Guido, give me the Wolfpack for a dime. We say; Not so fast.Their 4-0 came from defeating: VMI, Charleston Southern, Bryant, and Presbyterian. You''re supposed to be 4-0! N.C. State has won all four of its games by at least 18 points. You''re supposed to be winning by 30 points. Now enter #4 ranked Arizona. They have won their first three games by 34, 25, and 32 points and boast impressive statistics across the board. It starts with a first team All-America automatic NBA lottery pick. Allonzo Trier is tied for the top spot in the nation in points per game (30.0) and is shooting a blistering 70 percent from the field. He is joined by freshman super-star Deandre Ayton, who is averaging 18.7 points and 11.7 rebounds per contest to begin his college career. Note to NC State: Bryant, and Presbyterian have NO players with this type of talent. Did I mention that Anton is 7''1" AND is joined with Dusan Ristic, a 7-foot senior who had 20 points and 10 rebounds in the season opener. Another indication that NC State only wins against bad teams and can''t fade good teams is they rarely cover the spread. The Wolfpack is 1-9 ATS in their last 10 games against teams with winning records. When they get down tired, worn out and frustrated, NC State will have to foul. Each of the Arizona Wildcats’ top seven scorers are all shooting at least 75 percent from the foul line. Arizona also likes to send a message to the ACC about west coast basketball as they are 6-0 ATS in their last six games against the ACC. This has a 21 point win written all over this contest; make that "No Contest"!
