PEPE - That last outing must not have been too hard on this gelding for him to be able to race again so quickly. It looks like Gonzalez had to come to know this gelding on Jan 30th when riding him for the initial time. Back on board again today. This front-runner should benefit from today's shorter trip. I think that a sprinter coming off a layoff will usually run his best in the 3rd or 4th start back.

MAJOR DRAMA - Hasn't been getting close at all recently. FOREST BLAZE - No good fortune for this mount in a sprint race over the last couple months tells me that this gelding is in a tough circumstance When checking today's class rating, he will have to register a much better speed figure than last out to compete in this dirt sprint. COME ON BERT - A bit of a lackluster outing when this gelding finished tenth.

My choice here is HEREDITARY. He has been running very well and the Equibase Speed Figures are among the most competitive in this group. Very strong selection to take this race going in a dirt route. Have to examine solely on class, with some of the best class figs of this field. SKY DEFENCE - When this rider and handler team up, players often make money. Could best this group of animals based on the speed rating - 96 - of his last affair. FOREST MOUSE - Has to be given consideration against this group displaying decent figures as of late and an average Equibase speed fig of 96 under similar conditions. Has raced well in dirt route races.

WALK AWAY - Have to like the early speed on this one. No one else may even be close. Based on this filly's recent efforts, she should benefit from this shorter distance. It is my opinion that fillys run better the 2nd time they get Lasix. Treasure puts this filly on it for the 2nd time today, so give this one a look. BLACK STORM RISING - This filly is in good physical condition. Finished third on Jan 13th.

PALLASGREEN - Difficult to back any questionable contender in a short distance race if she hasn't hit the board in a sprint in the last couple of months. SEA MY MOVES - The speed figs are going downward. I'm not placing a wager on this horse off of that trend. This filly hasn't had any in the money results in short distance affairs in the last couple of months.

My pick in this race is BONITA BOSS. Displays the look of a lucrative play, averaging a solid 71 speed figure which is one of the best in this field. Ought to come out very solid - I have liked the way this gelding has moved promptly to the lead recently. Is a contender - given the 71 speed figure from his most recent race. RESPECT THE SHOT - This gelding looks like a longshot with a chance. Silva is trying to prove victorious with this horse by bringing him back so soon. SUSPICIOUS LOOK - Gordon and Bourdieu have won 30 percent of their races giving this pony a very good chance. Has earned sound speed figs in dirt sprint races in the past.
