TAPNFIRE - Taking a trip to a lower class rank; has the ability to make her presence felt. Every now and then I take some time off, when I come back to the track I feel refreshed. I think it's the same with this mare as she always seems to run well after a vacation. This mare's last speed fig earned on January 20th is number one in last race speed figs. Horse has improved at least 2 speed fig points in last two races. I look for that to continue in this race. I like this mare today. Good late run in the sprint race on Jan 20th at 5 1/2 furlongs. WALKING THE KITTEN - This horse has the class to win the race. A tactical ride by Mena, and this one could bound home the winner. (EPS) earnings per start is something that I think can be a key handicapping aspect. This thoroughbred is ranked at the top of the list in this field. YANKEE PRIDE - Beschizza and Sharp have had fantastic success together over the last 12 months. SAGE'S EPIPHANY - This mare is almost always on the board. Came home in quick time last race out. A positive sign. TRUST IN DIANE - After the race aboard this horse on January 13th, the jock is going to be in tune with the filly much better. Pish will try adding blinkers today in hopes of an improved performance.

HAVINFUNYET - A closer like this one needs a ding-dong battle to set things up and she isn't likely to get one this time out. CASTIEL'S ANGEL - In this situation, this mount's inability to close ground in the last event is a cause for concern. A pattern of decreasing speed figs 87/84/70 for this questionable contender.
Top HatGUEST COMMENTARY: The Turf Man - TAPNFIRE - Horses trained by Roussel have an excellent chance of winning in routes on the turf. Look for this noble animal to make a good showing versus these ponies in this affair.

CHILEAN QUEEN - Broberg brings this mare back into a race rather than a workout. He knows his mare is on top of her game. A pony coming back this promptly after a solid race is a good omen. The recent rating of 89 is the highest last race speed figure in the field. This entrant wins a lot of money per race around the track. I believe she can augment that total in this race. ACUMEN - On board this mount on February 15th and Quinonez is back again in the irons in today's race. I think this mare is very fit right now. I like the fact that Witt brings her back to a race so quickly. I usually like playing sprint horses who are 3-4 races into a comeback.

OUR ADDI BELLE - Finished third in her most recent race with a common speed rating. When I look at today's class figure, it would take an improved performance to win after that in this group. CATS HONOR - Not easy to bet on any entrant in a short distance race at 8/1 when she hasn't shown any successful endeavors in sprints in the last sixty days. SHE'S UNDAWNTED - This mare hasn't been showing me anything positive in the last couple of races. When scrutinizing today's class rating, she will have to register a much better speed figure than last out to battle in this dirt sprint.

Could best this field based on the Equibase Speed Figure - 71 - of his last effort. Difficult to pass on this gelding with Inirio in the irons. TALK TO THE MEDIA - Is tough not to look at based on speed figures which have been strong - 71 avg - of late. With a formidable jock who has won at a quite good 17 percent rate over the last month. This has to be one of the top selections. SHOT THE SHERIFF - Could best this group of horses in this race based on the speed figure - 74 - of his last contest.
