    NCAA-F | Miami-FL vs Clemson
    Play on: UNDER 60 -111

FRANK’S CUTTING ROOM FLOOR FOR SATURDAY, 10/10:
My “Cutting Room Floor” plays are the situations I considered the closest to being worthy of investment but did not make the “final cut” for my official plays today for subscribers. The last play on my cut list for this evening is with Under the Total in the game between Miami (FL) and Clemson. It may be tempting to expect a high scoring game between these two teams that are scoring 43.3 and 42.3 PPG. Not so fast. The Under is 15-5-2 in the Hurricanes’ last 22 games on the road while the Under is also 18-7-1 in the Tigers’ last 26 home games against teams with a winning record on the road. Miami (3-0) comes off a 52-10 win over Florida State two weeks ago where they generated 517 yards of offense — but the Under is then 11-5-2 in their last 18 games after gaining at least 450 yards in their last game. Clemson (3-0) generated 466 yards of offense last week in their 41-23 win at Virginia — and they have played 8 of their last 10 games Under the Total after gaining at least 450 yards. Take the Under. Best of luck — Frank.

    NCAA-F | Miami-FL vs Clemson
Play on: Clemson -14½ -110 at Bovada

My free play is on Clemson at 7:30 ET.
The Miami Hurricanes have opened 3-0 (2-0 in the ACC) and now get a chance to take on No. 1 Clemson (3-0 / 2-0 ACC) at the Tigers' Memorial Stadium. Miami is ranked No. 7 in the latest AP poll making this game the first showdown between top-10 teams at Memorial Stadium since 2016. Clemson owns NINE consecutive seasons with double-digit victories and has made FIVE straight trips to the College Football Playoff, winning national titles in 2016 and 2018, before losing in the title game to LSU last season. Miami owns a rich football history but over the last decade (since 2010), the 'Canes have failed to win more than seven games in a season SIX times. That includes last season when Miami finished 6-7 after losing 14-0 to La Tech in the Independence Bowl. In that game, the Bulldogs became the first Group of 5 school to shut out a Power-5 school in a bowl game since the BCS/CFP era began in 1998. Pretty sure Miami hasn't included that factoid on its Wikipedia page.
Miami has a HUGE upgrade at QB this season with D'Eriq King, who transferred from Houston. He came to Miami having broken former Florida QB Tim Tebow's FBS record for the most consecutive games (15) with at least one passing and rushing touchdown. He extended his streak to 16 in Miami's first game of 2020 but he has NOT run for a TD in each of its last two. However, ask Clemson's Dabo Swinney about King. "He's a great quarterback -- he can do it all," he said. "There's really nothing he can't do. He can make all the throws and when he runs it, he's a running back. He's got that mindset of a running back, too. You'd better have your big-boy pads on. He's averaging 5.4 yards after contact, so this is a very physical player." King's completed 67.0 percent for 736 yards with six TDs and not a single interception in 94 attempts. He's added 157 yards rushing (5.6 YPC) with one TD. His "go-to" receiver is TE Jordan, who has 15 catches and three TDs. RB Cam'Ron Harris had 134 rushing yards in Miami's first two games but had only 43 in Miami's 52-10 rout of FSU last Saturday.
Both Miami and Clemson are averaging more than 42 points, and both feature Heisman Trophy candidates at QB. You may just know Clemson's Trevor Lawrence. Lawrence has passed for 848 yards (73.3 percent completions) and seven touchdowns (zero INTs) this season while also rushing for three scores. He's thrown 314 consecutive passes without an interception, which is a school record and the third-longest streak in ACC history. Lawrence hasn't been intercepted since the first quarter of the Tigers' win at Louisville back on Oct 19, 2019. Travis Etienne is one of the nation's best RBs, gaining 1,614 yards on 7,7 YPC with 19 TDs last season and 1,658 yards on 8.1 YPC with 24 TDs in 2018. However, he has just 39 carries this season (243 yards on 6.2 YPC with two TDs. Bothe of Lawrence's main WRs, Rodgers and Ladson own YPC averages of 17.2 and 19.9, respectively. Even Etienne, who has nine receptions, has averaged 19.1 YPC.
Are the 'Canes ready for primetime. Oddsmakers are NOT convinced, as Clemson is favored but just over two TDs. Miami head coach Manny Diaz hopes his program has learned enough to at least close the gap on Clemson's recent dominance. The Tigers have won the two most recent meetings between the teams by a combined 92-3. "What you see now (at Clemson) is a culture that's used to winning," Diaz said. "The leadership of the team has been able to pass it down through generations, and when freshmen come, it's 'Hey, this is the way we do things here.' " I'm laying the points.
    Good luck...Larry

NCAA-F | Charlotte vs North Texas
Play on: Charlotte -3 -104 at pinnacle

    Dave’s Saturday Free Play:
    1* on Charlotte -3
The Key: The Charlotte 49ers have played 2 tough road games at Appalachian State and at Florida Atlantic. They are 0-2 SU but 2-0 ATS. Now their task gets a lot easier here against a North Texas team that has only beaten Houston Baptist. The Mean Green lost 35-65 to SMU and 31-41 to Southern Miss. That loss to Southern Miss looks really bad considering the Eagles were blasted by Tulane 66-24 the week before. North Texas failed to cover the spread by a combined 24 points in those 2 games. The Mean Green have a woeful defense that is yielding 45.7 PPG and 572 YPG this year. It’s tough to win with that kind of defense. The Mean Green are 0-7 ATS after playing a home game over the last 2 years. The 49ers are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 against a team with a losing record. Charlotte is 5-1 ATS in its last 6 conference games. North Texas is 3-15 ATS in its last 17 conference games. Take Charlotte.

    10/10 09:00 AM PT / 12:00 PM ET

    CF (333) FLORIDA VS (334) TEXAS A&M

    Take: over

Reason: ESPN game here as Florida takes on Texas A&M. The Florida Gators are 2-0 on the season with A&M Aggies coming in a 1-1. The Aggies lost last week to Alabama, 24-52. Won't get any easier this week as they play an explosive Florida team. The offense is averaging 44.5 ppg so far and 7.8 yards per play. TE Kyle Pitts will pose a huge problem for A&M here. Pitts has has been a TD machine thus far and he's big and fast and it looks like the Aggies don't have an answer to covering him here today. The A&M secondary was destroyed last week by Alabama for 435 yards and four TD's. I don't see that getting any easier today against an equally explosive Florida offense.Your free play is on the OVER.
