Houston has begun to separate themselves from the rest of the AL West with a 3.5 game lead ahead of Oakland. In the AL Central, Chicago has done the same to Cleveland. The Indians are now 9.5 GB. The Astros have owned the Tribe, winning seven consecutive meetings, including all six in 2021. Eli Morgan (1-3, 7.86) and Lance McCullers (7-2, 2.80) are starters here. Morgan has been tagged for nine HR’s in his six appearances. Today he must face a dangerous lineup that has tallied over 122 round-trippers. If you can believe it, McCullers seems to be getting even better as the season progresses. The RH has only allowed two runs or less in his last six turns. The seasoned veteran will keep the Cleveland lineup at bey while the potent Houston offense will light up the scoreboard here. The Indians are 0-4 L4 in Houston, 2-8 L10 on the road, and 3-9 L12 vs. RH starters. Take the Astros on the run line. Thank you.

Love the fact the Columbus won 2-1 at home against NYCFC this weekend as I think it's helping to fuel this line which I have Nashville -0.25 favorites on the road. Nashville has the best xG differential in the league at +0.97 per game thanks to the best xGA numbers in the league at just 0.95 per game. They also have just one single loss this year in 13 games.
As I mentioned, Columbus is coming off a 2-1 win this past weekend although I'm still not sure how they managed to hang on. They were able to score two goals in just six shots while they allowed a whopping 21 shots to NYCFC and 2.07 xG while generating just 0.73 xG. They play on the field simply did not mention the final score. They have struggled to generate chances all year and have the lowest xG average in all of MLS this year at just 0.84 xG per game, the only team to average less than 1.0 xG per game.
To make matters worse, they have several players missing due to Gold Cup international duty including their best playmaker, Gyasi Zardes playing with team USA and their lack of creativity once again showed against NYCFC. I feel like we will see similar numbers here in this game as Nashville should be able to push the issue and control the chances so I'll gladly grab the + goals here.

Reiss Knehr only has a few MLB innings under his belt. Knehr walked too many batters at the minor league level and I expect him to put on a ton of free base runners. Bryse Wilson is giving up a lot of hits and a lot of homeruns. The humidity will rise as this game goes on. I think both teams bats will be warmed up from the first game and we will see a ton of runs put up on the board early and often. Take the Over.
