OAKLAND @ L.A. ANGELS | 07/30 | 9:38 PM EDT
OAKLAND -111
ANALYSIS: Just like I thought Thursday's line was way too short on the A's, I think this is too. Remember, the Halos are without three of their best hitters on the injured list with Jared Walsh joining this week. Shohei Ohtani walked three times in Thursday's loss, and I don't know why the A's would bother pitching to him (or any team would right now). It's All-Star Chris Bassitt (10-3, 3.46) on the mound for Oakland. He's 2-0 with a 1.08 ERA in two starts this year against the Angels, who have lost four in a row vs. teams with winning records.

MINNESOTA @ ST. LOUIS | 07/30 | 8:15 PM EDT
ST. LOUIS +1.5
ANALYSIS: The Twins will scratch ace Jose Berrios as he was traded to Toronto so I will jump the Cards at -150 on the runline while they are still moneyline underdogs. They won't be for long. I'd take St. Louis as a ML dog right now if I knew Nolan Arenado was playing, but he's in question with a bruised right forearm. Plus, not known yet whom Minnesota will start but I feel more than comfortable at the Cards +1.5 with it not being Berrios. Wade LeBlanc has been serviceable on the mound for the Redbirds.

BALTIMORE @ DETROIT | 07/30 | 7:10 PM EDT
DETROIT -140
ANALYSIS: It's Matt Harvey Day! Wait, is Harvey actually good again? Rather improbably, the Orioles right-hander has pitched six shutout innings in back-to-back starts to "lower" his ERA to 6.65. Sorry, I'm not buying that the Dark Knight is back. The Tigers have won 10 straight at home and go with lefty Tarik Skubal, who has been better at home this year. He has allowed two earned or fewer in three of his past four at Comerica Park, and the O's have never seen him. They are 6-15 in their last 21 games vs. a left-handed starter.

COLORADO @ SAN DIEGO | 07/30 | 10:10 PM EDT
COLORADO +183
ANALYSIS: There is value with Colorado tonight. Prior to last night’s loss the Rockies had won five of the last six against San Diego. In fact, one of their 11 road wins this season occurred with tonight’s exact pitching matchup of Jon Gray vs. Ryan Weathers on July 11. Back the underdog Rockies.

HOUSTON @ SAN FRANCISCO | 07/30 | 9:45 PM EDT
SAN FRANCISCO -125
ANALYSIS: On the season, the Astros are just 1-5 in road games after a day off. As hot as the Giants are, that trend should continue. Back San Francisco to stay hot as Kevin Gausman bounces back from two rough outings post All-Star break.

SEATTLE @ TEXAS | 07/30 | 8:05 PM EDT
SEATTLE -145
ANALYSIS: The Mariners are just 2.5 games behind the final wild card spot and face what is now the worst lineup in the AL and one of the worst starters in Kolby Allard. (Texas has lost seven straight Allard starts.) Meanwhile, Logan Gilbert is the hottest starter in baseball with the M’s winning his last 10 starts, including all five of his road starts. The Rangers are batting only .159 and averaging just 1.8 runs since the All-Star break. Mariners to win.

L.A. DODGERS @ ARIZONA | 07/30 | 9:40 PM EDT
L.A. DODGERS -180
ANALYSIS: Arizona traded its best offensive player earlier this week and start Zac Gallen against the mighty Dodgers, who should put a bunch of runs on the board as they did in their last two meetings when they won 22-1 and 7-4. The D-backs have lost eight straight Gallen starts, with six of them going Over the total. Gallen gave up seven runs in his last start. I’m on the Dodgers.

BALTIMORE @ DETROIT | 07/30 | 7:10 PM EDT
DETROIT -153
ANALYSIS: The Orioles are 13-23 against left-handed starters as they prepare to face Detroit's Tarik Skubal on Friday. Skubal has been much better at home this season, with a 3.50 ERA compared to 5.92 on the road. While Matt Harvey has tossed six scoreless innings in each of his last two starts, I'll back the Tigers to keep raking. They've scored at least five runs in four straight games.
