BLACKWATER FALLS - Have to give this gelding a good chance. Ran a nice effort last out within the last thirty days. I like this gelding. Has the uppermost earnings per start in here. UNION REWARD - Generally speaking, horses on Lasix for the first time should be considered. That's what we have here. Jock jumped on this gelding's back for the 1st ride on Jan 11th. Should know the animal even better in today's contest. I believe the addition of blinks today will help this gelding focus his attention on racing.

LADY NOGUEZ - This mare is certainly on the improve with speed figs of 73, 81, 84 last three out. HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY - Just missed hitting the board on Jan 18th at Turf Paradise. With respectable M/L odds in this event, she has my interest. This late closer looks to be the animal to make a move near the wire. This thoroughbred already beat the chalk horse last time around the track at Turf Paradise. EVEN PANDURA - Fits well considering the fact that the last time she tried this distance she got a rating good enough to win today.

The Key: The Davidson Wildcats lost 72-89 at VCU in their first matchup this season on January 7th. Everything that could go right for the Rams did in that game as they shot 58.2% from the field and 62.5% from 3-point range while making 15 from deep. That was an aberration as the Rams aren't that good of an offensive team. It will be a different story on the road. They were 5.5-point home favorites and are now 4-point road favorites, so the books have barely adjusted for home court. Davidson only has one home loss all season by more than 4 points. Davidson is 4-1 SU & 4-1 ATS in its last 5 home matchups with VCU with the lone loss coming by 2 points. The home team is 9-3 ATS in the last 12 matchups. Take Davidson.

Tuesday NHL Free play. My selection is on Montreal over Ottawa at 7:05 pm et on Tuesday.
The Senators rolled past the Canadiens by a 5-0 score on home ice on Saturday (we won with the 'under' in that game). Here, I expect a much different story to unfold as the scene shifts to Montreal for Tuesday's rematch. Note that the Sens are just 11-24 when coming off consecutive games in which they scored three or more goals over the last two seasons, as is the case here, outscored by 0.7 goals on average in that situation. They're also a woeful 2-10 after winning four or five of their last six games this season, which is also the situation on Tuesday, allowing 4.2 goals per game and outscored by an average margin of 1.6 goals in that spot. Meanwhile, the Habs have actually posted a winning record (7-5) when coming off a game in which they scored one goal or less this season. Having now lost four straight meetings in this series, look for the Canadiens to exact some revenge on Tuesday. Take Montreal.

The Miami Heat are 11-14 SU & 11-14 ATS on the road this season and have Duncan Robinson out, plus Jimmy Butler and Gabe Vincent questionable. Give me the Cavaliers.

The Big 12 Preview Spotlight game for Tuesday is in the Kansas St at Kansas game. The Jayhawks just broke a rare 3 game losing streak with a win over Kentucky. Tonight they are home and looking to avenge an 83-82 overtime loss at Kansas St. They apply to a solid Database system below that plays on home favorites with a win percentage of .700 or better vs an opponent with a win percentage of .750 or higher if they have road favored loss revenge, the total is between 128 and 162 and both teams are off a win. In this system these home teams are a perfect 14-0 and win by an average 19 points per game. The Host team has covered 22 of 29 in this series. However, both teams are nearly identical with 17 and 18 wins and ranked 120 and 127 on defense while Kansas St has a small edge on offense. The line is a bit higher at -8 than we would have liked so this will be our Comp play for Tuesday. Kansas should get some revenge here, lets see if they can get this system to 15-0.
