4 Unit Play. Take #962 Washington Nationals -145 over Los Angeles Dodgers (8:05 PM, Thursday, October 13, FS1)

The Washington Nationals will look for a win to advance to the NLCS to take on the Chicago Cubs when they take on the Los Angeles Dodgers in a winner take all Game 5 at Nationals Park in Washington DC on Thursday night. Max Scherzer (20-8, 3.03 ERA, 0.96 WHIP) will get the start for the Nationals and he will be opposed by Rich Hill (3-3, 2.56 ERA, 0.91 WHIP), who is scheduled to get the call on the hill for the Dodgers despite the fact that he is dealing with blisters on his pitching hand. Washington has posted an 11-5 record in their last sixteen home games where they faced a team with a losing record on the road and they have gone an excellent 13-6 in their last nineteen home games overall. They have also gone 4-1 in their last five home games where they faced a left handed starter and they have won 19 of Scherzer's last 27 starts. The Dodgers, on the other hand, have struggled a bit in the spot they are in here tonight as they have gone just 1-5 in their last six games following a day off and they have gone winless in Hill's last four starts. They have also lost five of their last seven games overall and they are an awful 2-8 in their last ten playoff road games. Throw in the fact that the Nats are a perfect 6-0 in their last six games following a loss and we'll lay the price with them here to get the win and move on to face the Cubs in Game 1 of the NLCS on Saturday night in the Windy City.
