This is the only explanation I can come up with.

Either that or the fix was in and Daley poorly acted out his part, but with the way they were fighting there's no way I'd really believe that.

If you can't tell Daley was rocked hard then I don't know what to tell you. He was catching alot of punches right before the failed takedown. Thats why he went for it right after a counter right, he got tagged real hard while he was starting to throw that punch and dove for the takedown to stop the momentum Diaz was building. When he got shucked aside he tried to bounce back and didn't have his legs under him. Siix punches in a row in under ten seconds getting through your arms to your face will do that.
