It was probably my most anticipated event for the foreseeable future.
Fuck these fighters and their too-common injuries!

I am probably the only mma fan that doesn't care about this fight, but with both of them injured that means we will see it eventually. I would have preferred to see one of them injured and Pettis get his promised shot instead. It does ruin my magic parlay though...
It probably means that Torres will get bumped up to the main card where he should be and we will get props on that fight though, so I can add that.

Why are not interested in it?
1. It's a title fight.
2. These guys have unfinished business, and there's drama in that.
3. The last fight was balls-to-the-wall awesome.

I don't really care for the fighting style of either guy and I am know we are going to be looking at 5 rounds again. I used to like Edgar's style a lot, but anymore his plan seems like it is to win a decision... Maynard hasn't finished a fight yet in the UFC and Edgar has 8 decisions of his own. I like guys that take risks to win fights. I don't mind decision fighters as long as they are trying to win it.
Not saying the fighting style is not valid, but as a fan I don't really get into it.
As for the previous fights, I don't think they were that great. Several rounds in the last fight were 10-10ish because neither guy would commit.

[QUOTE=poopoo333;282982][B]Breaking News - Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard are both injured, postponing their UFC 130 rematch. Rampage vs. Hamill now the main event May 28!
What!!!
Damn, I was considering going. Good thing I didn't buy tickets.....I'd be way pissed!
According to former WEC Lightweight Champion Anthony Pettis, he was asked "3 or 4 days ago" to step in and fight Gray Maynard in the UFC 130 main event. Frankie Edgar's ribs were apparently enough for him to pull out for sure, but Maynard was going to try and tough it out with a knee injury.
Via heavyMMA.com:
"They were going to have me fight Maynard on that card. I said yes to that deal right away. I guess it turns out that it’s not going to happen. I’m back to fighting Guida," Pettis told HeavyMMA.com. "It sucks that he got injured, because it kinda puts the whole lightweight division back on standstill."
"For three or four days I thought I was going to fight on May 28 and now it’s just killing me, so I’m going to take it out on Clay Guida."
I really think Pettis should take the Guida fight first anyway to deal with those first-time UFC jitters and just to get an idea about how he stacks up against a UFC-level guy who has a wrestling base.
It's a good tune-up fight.

TUF finale is a week after UFC 130. They should bump Pettis/Guida to PPV

If I can get Browne at +130 then I'll probably drop half a unit.
