Horwich actually beat Rosholt not too long ago by third round TKO. I haven't seen the fight, but since there's such a quick rematch it makes me think that Rosholt was either dominating the fight up to that point and/or the stoppage was controversial. In any case, I think Rosholt should win and hope we get a decent line considering Horwich beat him once already.

A three time NCAA champion at OK ST, Rosholt fired off numerous takedowns on Horwich in the first 10 minutes of their fight. In the latter portion of round number two Horwich was consistently able to reverse the position on Rosholt and work him with effective ground n' pound strikes.
The final round saw Horwich land a takedown on Rosholt. On the ground the veteran of over 45 pro fights, Horwich took Rosholt's back and unleashed an barrage of unblocked punches before the referee stepped in to stop the fight. Horwich moves to 2-3 in his last five contests, with his other win a choke out of ex-UFC title challenger Thales Leites.
Rosholt is now 1-1 since being cut by the UFC in November 2009.
Interesting. Thanks for finding that.
Maybe either guy would be a good play as a dog.

The thing about Horwich is that he's so inconsistent. He'll beat guys like Thales Leites and then lose to guys like Tom Watson.

im staying the fuck away from shark fights. Never turned a profit on any shark fight card.
As of right now I'm thinking whoever is the dog in the Rosholt/Horwich fight, Ricco Rodriguez, and Daniel Almeida, all depending on the lines, of course.

Is this one of those cards to put .1u on every dog?
I don't think so.
Rodriguez and Almeida will both be the faves, I think. Rodriguez for sure.

If it's fighters who are known though, it doesn't matter what org they're fighting under.
Rosholt and Horwich both had multiple fights in the UFC.
We all know Ricco Rodriguez. And I've never seen Shannon Ritch fight but the nigga's apparently had over 125 fights so there should be enough info to learn something.

yeah but i don't want to go and watch all of riccos and shannons fights. that would take a couple hours and I could still get it wrong. With the ufc, I already know all the fighters. That equals a greater payout for the amount of time I put into this.
I agree obviously, but we're in a drought. No more UFC for more than a month.

Shannon Ritch's record is 47-74, BTW. Not only is that weird, considering the numbers are inversed, but he's fought a shitload of guys. Never beat anyone of note, though.
Almeida is 5-1 and also hasn't beat anyone, but he appears to be a pretty good BJJ guy.
Both guys have won most of their fights by sub, but Ritch has also lost of his fights by sub. In all, he has lost 53 fights by submission. Seems we're looking at a jiu-jitsu war here and just from what little I know about Almeida I suspect he will be able to win this one on the ground.

I hope Eddie Bravo is in the corner for Horwich.
Yeah, considering Horwich is a 10th Planet guy it's really no surprise that he was able to beat Rosholt.
