Kari Lehtonen is 11-1 with a GAA of 2.13 and that alone makes the Stars worthy of a play here. In addition, the Penguins could be a bit rusty after being off for six days after returning from a brief three-game trip that ended with two games on the West Coast. Currently, everything is going right for the Stars. They’re playing with a lot of confidence, they’re hot and to compliment their outstanding goaltending, they’re scoring plenty of goals. They’ve scored five or more in three straight games and three or more in six straight. The Pens are among the elite teams, but the anticipation of Sidney Crosby’s return has attracted a circus like atmosphere in terms of media coverage and that’s a distraction.
