I went to put down $50 at +670 or something, then it jumped up to +880 when it went to the confirmation screen so I made it 100 instead. Cmon.. full mount, 20+ punches, ref stoppage.

That's a great point about SOTN though, Struve has to know that is up for grabs.

    Lol 5dimes..

    FOTN odds:

    Volkmann/Sass is +550
    "Ludwing"/Hardy is +2000

Think they got those backwards. I was wondering WTF was going to be so awesome about Volkmann/Sass.

I think it has potential to be an exciting fight...might have lots of scrambles/sub attempts/sub escapes

Bigfoot worked hard on his conditioning and diet for this fight. He hired Mike Dolce. If you see them wearing that shirt, you know they are probably in shape. That said, Cain is still going to have better Cardio and the wrestling advantage. I wonder if Bigfoot can tap Cain out. I am skeptical. Standing I don't know who has an edge. Its probably pretty close. Advantage Cain for the wrestling + cardio.

Tonight is one of those nights where I am going to collapse, or come out way ahead.

    War Struve.
    War Cain.
    War JDS.
War JDS/Frank Mir not going to decision.

Same here. Live betting will probably make me either broke or rich on this card.

Did you not bet Struve straight up or something? Just in a parlay?

I distinctly remember betting that shit but my books have no record of it. That's not the first time that's happened, either.

For those who didn't watch, Dana hinted that Brock may be coming back and that's why he was at the event tonight.

If Brock comes back, we will see Brock/Mir III.

After tonight, I have a feeling a lot of the main card fighters will be fighting each other..throw Mark Hunt in there too.

What matches do you guys think make sense? I am interested in Roy Nelson/Stipe Miocic. Not sure who Bigfoot will fight. I would have said Mir if this Brock business hadn't shown up.

Dana said when Cormier comes to the UFC, he will get a title shot.

    Post event thoughts

JDS looked good. He was patient, threw solid combinations, swarmed when the opportunity presented itself, and was in no real danger at any point of the fight. His defense is still pretty questionable though. He didn't check leg kicks, got hit with some shots that looked pretty slow, and his tdd looked average. Would have loved to have seen the overeem fight.

Mir looked horrible. Ubermir is just too big. He was better when he was in the upper 240's. At this weight he is just too slow. I will be betting against him from now on as long as he gets decent opponents who arent close to retirement. Cormier, Barnett, Overeem, Hunt, Brock, Nog in a rematch would all probably beat him and do so easily (save for hunt). I would favor Big Foot and Werdum as well. Even the up and comers would probably beat him at this point. Stipe, Struve would be interesting, Browne would beat him.

Cain did what cain does. Set a relentless pace that Big Foot couldnt weather. The elbow was the beginning of the end. Rematch will be interesting. Doesnt look like he will ever incorporate subs into his game.

Big Foot. Damn his kryptonite is wrestlers he cant take down. He needs to stop accepting fights with guys out of aka. Should be interesting to see who he gets next. Still think he is a top 10 heavyweight.

Hermans horrible man. Cut down to 205.

Not much to say on nelson. Good win even though I felt the stoppage was early.

Cant tell if Stipe was impressive or Del Rosario is just that bad. Probably a bit of both. Not sure why he fucked around standing for a whole round.

    Johnson had a nice run.

Glover is a future star man. As long as his beard doesnt fail him. Would like to see what his offensive wrestling and bjj off his back are like.

Barboza needs to work on his hands and defense more.

Miller and Dolloway should both be cut for that pathetic fight.

Hardy was getting lit up before his patented left hook landed. Not sure how opponents don't keep there right hand up for that punch at all times. Same with Nelson and his overhand.

    Volkmanns grappling is overated.

Not sure I agree with your stuff about Mir, but I guess we will see. Would like to see him fight Barnett, Bigfoot, or Struve.

Also, I would like to see Lavar Johnson vs Dave Herman next.

And I am sure we will see Dan Hardy fight in Nottingham..I think in September. Would like to see him matched up with Sadollah.
