The Concussion Bowl: The Bears and 49ers meet on MNF in what could be a battle of the QB backups. The Bears are coming off their second loss of the season as they fell to the Texans on Sunday night while the Niners are coming off a Week 10 tie to the St. Louis Rams – the first such result since 2008. The Bears are in the best spot as Jason Campbell is a solid veteran. Heading into San Francisco isn’t an easy feat for any quarterback let alone a backup who may not have the confidence from his offense especially considering the Niners are coming off a disappointing result against their division rivals last week and this being in prime time on Monday night. The 49ers know that their key to winning is completely shutting the Bears down with their vaulted defense. Alex Smith may or not play and his rookie replacement is more than capable to get the ball to the crew of talented receivers. Look for Frank Gore to be used to run and catch out of the backfield. This has "hometeam fans make a difference" written all over the game.

I think Golden State will look to bounce-back quickly from the tough loss suffered at OKC. This team was competitive in that contest and never quit the whole way through as Mark Jacksons' never do. They face a good Dallas team who will likely be challenged here. There are plenty of competent guards in this game to indeed make this an uptempo game. When Dallas is a small favorite like this, the game is expected to be competitive and I would not be surprised to see Golden State challenge Dallas well here. Remember, Golden State defeated the Clippers Outright on the road so don't put it past this team to do well here. The Over is 3-1-1 for the Warriors when they come off a loss and the Over is also 5-1 in the Mavericks last 6 home games. The basic essence of this play is the Warriors will be competitive and this will be an uptempo game that likely goes over.

The San Francisco 49ers and Chicago Bears feature two of the best defenses in the league. They will play part in a low-scoring, defensive battle tonight in San Francisco on ESPN's Monday Night Football.
The 49ers rank No. 1 in the league in scoring defense at 14.1 points/game. They are also No. 2 in total defense at 292.1 yards/game.
The Bears rank No. 2 in the league in scoring defense at 14.8 points/game, just behind the 49ers. They are also No. 5 in total defense at 306.7 yards/game.
