I just read cub swansons ufc profile. It said he is a black belt in brazilian jiu jitsu. This is news to me. I always thought he was bad on the ground because i heard it described as his weakness.

I think pretty much everyone who's been around as long as him has a black belt in BJJ or at least equivalent experience (like Hughes had).

i dont think he is bad on the ground at all. He got caught in an arm triangle by Lamas because he was getting cocky. He was winning the fight til that point. I personally think Lamas is a lil better overall fighter than Porier. I think Porier will try to push Swanson up against the fence and dirty box him then try to take him down. Hope Swanson prepare for that. I already have 4u on him at -135. He's down to -110 now. Damn it. Shoulda wait.

How about the diabate line? Im not saying he should be a big fav but i dont think he should be a significant dog. He is a good striker with a ground game. Manuwa is a powerful brawler that doesnt seem to have any ground game. I know diabate is getting old and has been dropped before though. Gustaffson really worked him.

His line is great but Manuwa has scary fast hands and big power. Diabate likes to keep his hands low. Manuwa loves the leaping lead hook or the overhand. It is a no bet for me.

At the current line of nearly +200 or better I think he's worth a play. This is probably a much closer fight than he's getting credit for due mostly to the hype surrounding Manuwa. But being a 6'6" southpaw who's got plenty of experience both in MMA and pro kickboxing gives Diabate a path to victory. Also, Manuwa's gastank might give out on him if this goes into the third round. I'm not saying necessarily that Diabate will win, but he definitely could.

I liked Diabate at +140 and he is +200 now. Not gonna bet more on him, so I hate that I predicted the line movement very wrongly

I also like Diabate to win this. His problem is that he's often at a grappling advantage, but he's not here.

I think he is at a grappling advantage with manuwa. He might have trouble getting him to the ground though. He could end up having the advantage standing as well. The line is off for those reasons. The only thing that concerns me is having seen him get rocked multiple times since entering the ufc. Either he sucks or gustaffson is amazing. I think its somewhere in the middle.

I am also feeling pretty good about castillo. He is very experienced and should have the wrestling to deal with sass. I just dont know if he will try to take the fight to the ground.

Terry etim seems like he should be better than his opponent just by looking at their records. I still havent seen them fight much.

I think Sass is one of those guys whose days of winning fight after fight are just about up. When you only have one trick, you eventually get figured out.
