10* FREE NBA PICK (Raptors -6)
I'll take a shot here with Toronto at home against the Spurs. San Antonio will not only be without Kawhi Leonard, but both Rudy Gay and Manu Ginobili are out for tonight's game against the Raptors. I think any concern of Toronto not taking this game seriously because of the injuries can be thrown out the window with this being the Spurs, plus there's some revenge on the line here, as the Spurs have won each of the last 4 games in the series, including a slim 4-point win at home back in late October.
Toronto has been one of the toughest teams in the league to beat on their home floor, as they own a 16-3 record at the Air Canada Centre. They are also 14-4 ATS in their last 18 vs a top tier team that's won between 60% to 70% of their games and 22-8 ATS in their last 30 vs top tier defensive teams that are allowing 98 or fewer points/game. Give me the Raptors -6!

801 San Antonio at Toronto
This is the 12th straight game on a different court for the short handed Spurs. The team is 6-5 SU in the previous 11 games. San Antonio in the last eight days have lost to the Lakers and Hawks, along with a five point win against the Nets.
Toronto lost at San Antonio 101-97 in the third game of the season. Coming off losses in 3 of its last 5 games this team needs a statement win. The last two games against the leagues elite Toronto lost by just 2 to Golden State and blew out Cleveland by 34. We will back what we feel is the best team in the east laying a fair number here.

I like the value here with Toronto at home in Friday's showdown with the Spurs. The Raptors are 30-13 and yet they get little to love from the media. A big reason for that is they didn't make any major moves from a roster standpoint in the offseason.
While Toronto features a lot of the same players, this is the best version yet of this team. They are playing at a much faster pace and are a better 3-point shooting team. Last year they finished 22nd in pace and averaged just 8.8 made 3-pointers. This year they are 9th in pace and are averaging 11.2 made 3-pointers.
San Antonio is a good team and gets a ton of respect for what they have done in the past, but they have had their struggles on the road. The Spurs are 19-2 at home compared to just 11-14 on the road. Only 2 of those 11 road wins have come against teams who currently have winning records and that's the Heat and Blazers.
Toronto is on a whole different level and are 16-3 at home this season, outscoring opponents by 12.0 ppg. Raptors average 114.5 ppg at home, while the Spurs are scoring a miserable 96.6 ppg on the road. Take Toronto!
